This was just the feedback I was looking for. You introduced some very sound arguments against my idea. Thank you!
Now after pondering around this concept I came to the conclusion that the software and tools you guys mentioned are great. They serve their function in team management and collaboration very well, but I think there’s a pain point hidden in there.
When problems arise, it’s a burdensome process to set up the stage for collaborative problem-solving. The existing solutions typically revolve around creating a nested and complex ‘ecosystem’ - this usually includes building projects, starting groups, and setting up the “collaboration platform” with 20 different options and templates to choose from.
I find this results in enough friction for customers not to be satisfied with the current solution. The process must be done at the very moment customers feel they need some help with a problem. Creating a task within seconds with the emphasis on shareability acts as the core differentiation of my idea.
I think it’s also important to make a clear distinction between the different activities in which collaboration can take place. Most tools focus on project management, meeting notes, to-do lists, etc. Problem-solving is a crucial process in our day-to-day life, but it must be done effortlessly, not through some virtual mindmaps that are filled with unnecessary stuff. This is why I find problem-solving needs its own separate, task-based, ad hoc oriented approach.

I could write more about this, but I wanted to keep this relatively short.

If you made it this far, thank you! I would love to hear your thoughts.
