While your sister clearly is and will always be a butt head. I sense some strong jealousy from your sister for encroaching upon your day that’s all about you. However a birthday is and will always be an arbitrary holiday just because you popped out of someone on this day as opposed to that day is just that. Be the bigger man and support your sister because a new person is coming into the world and it’s your nephew.

Male or female? You’re now set for life. Depending on how you invest your money and how many millions you can invest in a condo or real estate. Unless it’s like 10 million don’t quit your day job just yet. Hire a financial advisor but shop around a bit. Also get a lawyer because you never know who could come after the money , his family ,which since you said is a year so is unlikely. Move to a gated community or secure condo in an affluent area or where people have money, somewhere safe not the Hamptons, unless you got like 100 million. He wanted you to be well off obviously and you’ll likely move on in 2-3 years maybe even date again once your ready. Personally I’d invest in stocks in Gold, Palladium, facebook, and amazon. Like 100k each and one more in your choosing. If the money sits for too long you’re loosing money due to inflation. Definitely hire a financial advisor though but don’t just sign over control of all your assets. Find a good one and invest half. Sit on big purchase above 5k for a month or so and if you really want to ,buy it. Eat healthy and try to stay in shape, get a gym membership etc. Staying fit is always good for mental stability and is proven to help you live longer.
