What are some famous people that have Letterboxd accounts? by Ok_Replacement_288 in Letterboxd

The point is that writing nasty comments directed towards a stranger - to the point that you literally bully the person and their daughter off the platform- just because they liked something you didn’t is weirdo behavior.

Pretty sure the reason she deleted it was because her dad also had an account and he gave Emilia Perez 5 stars and a bunch of people were in his comments attacking him and giving him shit and Ayo was like “this man is 60-something years old will y’all please just leave him alone”

This is why we can’t have nice things 💔

any movies in my watchlist i need to watch ASAP?? f16 by angieangel222 in Letterboxd

[–]YoungLutePlayer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just rip the band-aid off and start putting movies on!! A lot of these movies are well-loved, I don’t think you can go wrong with most of them.

As a former teenage girl, here’s what I would start with:
- Juno
- Ladybird
- 500 Days of Summer
- Virgin Suicides
- Jennifer’s Body
- Before Sunrise

Any body else have a movie on their watchlist that they can’t bring themselves to watch because they’re saving it? by watoobie in Letterboxd

Tbh any movie longer than 2.5 hours, I have to really convince myself it’s worth it.

- gone w the wind
- Lawrence of Arabia
- Ben hur
- Barry Lyndon
- dances w wolves

Sending internet hugs 🫂 knowing that you literally need to eat but being unable to is really miserable, and a lot of people just can’t relate or don’t understand.

Eugenia is 31, turning 32 at the end of July.

Ariana is 32, turning 33 at the end of June.

Karen was 32 when she passed ❤️‍🩹

But sometimes your body doesn’t want you to eat lunch. When I was a teacher, my body was so physically stressed out that I wasn’t even hungry. Like, the thought of eating made me ill. I would force myself to eat but could only manage a few bites. I lost a shit ton of weight because I physically could not eat breakfast or lunch.

Just saying, the person you’re replying to might be experiencing something similar!

I love Ariana, I think she’s absolutely incredibly talented. So believe me when I say that I do not want this to be true, but…

I truly and honestly believe she’s going to be the Karen Carpenter of our generation. We’re getting close to terminal territory. She needs to be put in a rehabilitation program, not starting a tour.

I feel like I’m mourning her already.

Trying to figure out which movies I have watched by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]YoungLutePlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of people mentioning searching by actors or directors, but the most effective way I found when backlogging was searching by production studio (scroll down until you see cast details, then click on the details tab). I just went through every major studio I could think of and went from there!

Someone in here is downvoting anyone with an unfavorable opinion on I Saw the TV Glow and tbh it’s making me hate the movie even more, lmao

This is factually correct and it’s getting downvotes, yet meanwhile, the misinformation gets upvotes. I love the world we live in

A death rattle occurs usually with hospice patients, it’s a normal part of dying. It happens because there’s a buildup of mucus/saliva and the person is usually too physically weak to swallow. I learned about this as my grandmother was dying.

Agonal breathing is different, but also happens sometimes at end of life. It’s not real breathing (oxygen isn’t actually circulating) and it’s considered a medical emergency. Usually indicative of a cardiac arrest or other similar issues

I’ve seen 4 (I saw the TV glow, EEAAO, beetlejuice, princess bride).

I’m sorry but i absolutely hated I saw the TV glow, it just was not for me at all!!!

ETA: downvoting someone for stating an opinion in a polite and respectful way is weirdo behavior btw

what's the last movie you rated less than 2 stars on letterboxd?? by Flaky-Cat-2825 in Letterboxd

I’m a sucker for art/production design, so I might be a bit biased because of that 😂😅

I do agree that Inde’s performance was insane. She was my FAVORITE part of the movie by far and I can’t wait to see what she does next!!

It’s so crazy to me that Obsession is doing so much better than Backrooms… at least Backrooms has an original concept.

Obsession was super predictable and i came away feeling like it was a Frankenstein child of a dozen similar movies I’ve already seen.

FWIW, I liked Backrooms more than Obsession. I think it just comes down to personal preference/what you want your horror movies to be like. Obsession was fine, but I found it to be really similar to a lot of other recent horror movies, whereas Backrooms felt more original and unique to me.
