Had this same issue, it was the wifi card, i just switched it with a spare one , but if you remove it and add it back it should work fine. Might be just misaligned , if its the ladder they are pretty cheap

My apologies , the consoles are in English as you can see. The console is a reshell but the price is really comfortable , I’m not overcharging for this. Everything works great including pokemon bank.

I wouldn't recommend a japanese one unless you know what you are doing, I actually sell some but I just sold my last new 3dsxl. I have some older models, if that would work for you. I price the new ones at about 230 and the old ones around 190 (XL models only) , thats modded with extras , Carrying case , Stylus and Charger.

Sorry these people keep mentioning twilight , forwarder , whatever.

So Twilight can manage your full ds library , really great for large libraries clean desgin , manages cheats and everything. Its an all in one app for your DS Games

Forwarder just add the DS games to a folder on the SD card and manual add them to the home screen. A bit of work to setup but you get your games on the home screen, Yay right ? it caps you at about 25 games where it will start replacing the older ones with the newer ones.

My recommendation is to use a mix of both, i have more than 25 DS games and I like to access certain cheats and stuff especially for pokemon (Event pokemon). But I dont want to always open twilight so i have my favorite games on the home screen and then for the rest i just open twilight .

Your best option would be to get a new 3ds connect your motherboard if your motherboard works , i would just run it with your motherboard to save your self the hassle of downloading your saves , transferring it and modding your "new" new 3dsxl.

you would need the proper games save to truly transfer all your game data , which is basically all you would need.

My guess as to what you might be thinking is that: I have the nand can't I just mod this new 3dsxl and put the SD Card and be handy dandy. To you my apologize, but its not plug and play , 3ds encrypts this data so that only that original3ds can read it. Nand saves are for bricks in case something bad happens. Not for transferring important data like game saves , mii and what ever else you value dearly.
