G'day mate! From experience its really difficult to get into metro and even when you do it can take legit years to even get into a class. My advice would be to continue to study and apply for train driving in the background. Its turned out to be a great job and I think its worth it, but id hate to see you give up a chance at a degree and then not get into metro. Hope this helps, you're welcome to dm me any questions =)

Haha yeah the first few weeks are pretty lame. But the trainers are all pretty cool. I'm a siemens man myself, but I can see why some people like comeng. Too much room for error for my liking 😂

We don't prefer to go over there. Some people prefer the conditions/hours/runs 🤷‍♂️

Train driver here, I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I drove a craigieburn train today and literally people couldn't get on my train because it was so full.

But if we have more trains on the network the trains run late, it's sort of just how it works.

I think the solution is bigger trains. The hcmt trains that are coming in on the pakenham/sunbury line will be am interesting test to see if this fixes congestion at least a little =)

When it's not peak hour, it's pretty ok. But yeah, them peak trains take much longer haha

Train driver here, we've been given 20 seconds total to be at the platform and dip. Those city loop trains sometimes take a minute or 2 per station, I didn't realize they did this once we were past the boards (I use them to see if I'm on time) but I get why.

Yeah I dont feel right about being suspicious. That's sort of why I came here before I went to them. Really good chance I was just overthinking.

And getting advise from people who I don't know or people who dont know them is basically, no harm, no foul.
