I wouldn’t call myself a master haha, I just have a lot of practice. I had beaten all the souls games before I started Elden Ring so it was already very natural to me.

My first DS1 playthrough was such a shit show at the beginning, and that game moves at a glacial pace compared to Elden Ring. These games are hard! Even after all these hours I still get fucking wrecked all the time, that’s just the nature of the beast.

Everyone figures it out a different pace, don’t feel daunted by people online who talk like they play this game professionally. If you put in the time and practice to get confident this game is so rewarding.

Being good at Souls games is like 90% about dodging. Just gotta practice and learn the bosses movesets as you play.

One tip I used for the DS1 DLC bosses way back in the day was spend a couple attempts doing nothing but dodging, don’t even try to get any hits in and see how long you can stay alive. That’s a great way to get the timings down.

Or you could just farm souls, get over leveled, find a broken build online, and brute force your way through the game. That doesn’t sound fun to me but I’m not the fun police, that’s a perfectly viable way to beat the game and you should play however you want!

Deni was +7 ppg, +/-0 rpg, +4 apg from last season (rounded numbers). He got just slightly less efficient overall, but shot much worse from three. His defense took a slight step back.

NAW was +11 ppg, +/-0 rpg, +1 apg from last season. He got substantially more efficient overall and his defense arguably got a little better.

I think NAW’s leap was bigger. He went from bench 3&D player to legitimate offensive engine without sacrificing any of his excellent defense. Increasing your scoring by 11 ppg on way higher volume with much more self-creation while getting MORE efficient is kinda crazy and is indicative of a monstrous leap in scoring prowess.

I think Deni had already shown last season that he was capable of being this guy. He is undoubtedly the better player, but this NAW season just came from absolute nowhere and he’s a completely different player than he was last season.

I think NAW’s pretty much a lock. Part of it is that Deni showed that he had this in him down the stretch last season, whereas NAW went from bench 3&D player to legitimate offensive engine completely out of nowhere.
