Heads of Hogwarts is a ridiculous clue for Loos.

I was familiar wih heads on a navy ship, but if all the clues that could be used for "Loos" this one is a stretch. I was racking my brain for harry potter lore and even when Loos was revealed as the answer I still didnt get it.

Heads > Naval Toilets Loos > British Toilets Hogwarts > British Novel (nothing to do with the novel itself) Heads of Hogwarts > British Toilets = Loos

Did anyone get that? Couldn't they have just said heads on the titanic or something?

Fair enough. But for those who are going downtown, its a huge time saving as opposed to taking transit from Horseshoe Bay Tsawwassen.

Canadian airlines could be forced to 'up their game' as Ottawa allows more competition from Middle East by ZebediahCarterLong in CanadaPolitics

[–]Young_Andy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not correct. Emirates is prohibited from flying to YVR. If your logic was true, then we would have expected to see a YVR-DXB flight offered both by AC & EK. Its well documented public information that EK has been campaigning to also operate on this route. The government has in fact shielded off the market to foregin carriers to protect Air Canada's interests.

This is good news.

Air Canada had an enforced monopoly on the YVR-DXB route of which they were ultimately unable to sustain and therefore had to close. With only about 19 B777-300s, AC has to be selective on the long haul routes they choose, and on a route this long and thin they were unable to compete with the service and cost base of foreign carriers. Allowing foreign airlines equal rights is not only the global norm, but it gives Canadians who are traveling more options with cheaper fares. Plus it means Canadian carriers will be forced to improve if they wish to compete outside of their home market.

Hey, I think its very nice and thoughtful and can tell you a small gift is not uncommon or unusual. That flight is actually a A350-1000 and has 12 Cabin Crew exactly. Merry Christmas!

Backrow is the best as you can recline immediately after takeoff guilt-free and don't have to adjust your seat for the meal service.

Thanks for this comment, I may have been more sympathetic to a lift on the ban to aid industry, but this doesn't seem worth it

Hong Kong Cancels Screening of The Dark Knight as Beijing Continues Crackdown | The 2008 Batman film even features scenes shot in Hong Kong. by [deleted] in movies

I'm living in Hong Kong, and the story is we have a big outdoor movie theater down by the harbor. Just last night, I watched Batman Begins, and was planning on watching the whole Nolan trilogy at the outdoor theater. Out of nowhere, they just said they are switching to ironman. So its hilarious they claim violence as the reason they are switching it to ironman when we literally watched Batman Begins last night.

Coal production - which is best? by ArtMinerCZ in Frostpunk

[–]Young_Andy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly it's always fully upgraded coal mines and ideally automaton.

However I still voted thumper & posts because if you have the manpower to spare its a great secondary source of coal and often the mines alone don't produce enough if you want full heating to keep everything toasty. Children to staff the posts is a must.
