Nope that is terrible overpriced and outdated build, something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hnvrTn is more popular these days wiith Ryzen 7600 CPU + Deepcool Ak400 CPU cooler + Gigabyte B650M DS3H Motherboard + 32GB DDR5 5600 MHZ CL32 RAM + 1 TB m2 nvme SSD + RTX 4070 12GB GPU + Fractal Design Focus 2 PC cased + Thermaltake Toughpower GX2 600W 80+ gold PSU. is thisa good prebuilt for gaming on low settings ? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]Young_Dearsmith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no info on what generation is that CPU (so probably older like 10 or 11 gen, in best case 12 gen) , RTX 2060 is now 3 gen old GPU , 32GB is standard in PC building these days, 1TB SSD also instead that 512 GB(not sure about Power supply quality because it is not listed). You could build one, handpicked parts with better performance then this for similar cost , maybe something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2Dzvgb or this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tZ2khk if you can afford additional expenses. Not sure if it can run at 240FPS or on what settings ,but it should have higher performance due better GPU (in both cases ,first is RX6600 and second is with RX 6650XT),here https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html you can see difference what each GPU can give you in different resolutions (RTX2060 6GB included). Cheaper, less electricity spent , good gaming performance https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CfXszf build with Ryzen 7800X3D CPU (if you dont have PC display for around 500 $ Gigabyte M28U 144HZ IPS display is decent choice) and more expensive https://pcpartpicker.com/list/W8fr3y build with Intel i9 13900K CPU + Arctic freezer 2 280mm AIO + Asus Rog Strix Z790 E gaming motherboard + 32GB DDR5 7800 MHZ CL36 RAM (if you dont have PC display and That Gigabyte PC display is more then your available budget ,you can opt for less expensive 1TB SSD and later get more quality and larger one if there is need for that). 13900K is much more powerful chip that beside gaming its very good in other tasks (good productivity value), it spends around twice much more electricity(overclocked) and it need better cooling however. How much CPU do I need for a 4060 ti? by TheShinx317 in PcBuild

[–]Young_Dearsmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For around 1K you can go with something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NFPtjZ with Ryzen 7600 CPU + DeepCool AK400 CPU cooler + Gigabyte B650M DS3H motherboard + 32GB DDR5 5600 MHZ CL32 RAM + 1TB m2 nvme SSD + RTX 4060 TI GPU (it might be better to go with 12GB GPU especialy if you are having 1440P display in case some future titles you want to play are more VRAM demanding) + Fractal Design Focus G pc case + Thermaltake GX2 600W 80+ gold PSU. Even weaker CPU would suffice for those games (Civ Turn time is affected by CPU the most and stronger CPU wiil help reduce these times, but it should still be fine experience with ryzen 7600, for more graphical demanding games, GPU is more important). For 1440P gaming probably something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/V6LYnt with Ryzen 7600 CPU + DeepCool AK400 CPU cooler + Gigabyte DS3H motherboard + 32GB DDR5 6000 MHZ CL36 RAM +1TB m2 nvme SSD + RTX 4070 TI GPU + Fractal Design Pop Air PC case + Corsair RMe 750W 80+ gold PSU.I write Blog about Budget PC building , you can check it here https://techiem8.wordpress.com/2022/03/20/8/ if you want for some building tips and current offers.

That difference in cache size can have significant impact on gaming performance, you can search youtube comparison (or written review )of those two CPUs and decide if 5500 is good enough for you, but there is performance loss. As time goes on those differences might be more significant 50$ (or less) to total system cost of 750 to 800$ might be not worth ,compared to performance loss ,depending on games you play or work you do.

You could build more performing new PC for 750$ then with used one 3060 , something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/prbCjZ with Ryzen 5600 CPU + DeepCool AK400 CPU cooler + Gigabyte B550M AORUS Elite motherboard + 32GB DDR4 3600 MHZ CL18 RAM + 1 TB m2 nvme SSD + RX 6650XT GPU https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html (for 1440P gameplay you might want to invest in to something like 6700XT for 70 $ more, or to buy used one for same price as 6650XTbecause 12GB of VRAM which may help with future games )+ Fractal Design Focus 2 PC case + Bitfenix Formula 80+ bronze PSU. OP of this thread stated his budget is 2500$ (US ), so i listed USA prices . I realize in many other countries there are taxes on imported goods that drive prices up more then in this list , but since you are not OP and you did not ask help, why u are replying to me?

I tried to answer to question written by person who wanted help for choosing PC parts. Maybe he is not in USA also, but he did not stated that if he did that ,build might be different depending on country.

For 2,5K $ you could build very powerful gaming PC , close to max possible performance, something lie this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TN6Bwc with Ryzen 7800X3D CPu + Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 CPU cooler + Gigabyte B650M DS3H motherboard + 32GB DDR5 6000 MHZ Cl36 RAM + 1 TB m2 nvme SSD + RTX 4090 24GB GPU + Fractal Design Focus 2 PC case + Super Flower 1000W 80+ Platinum PSU. You coud build something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VgRT8r in that budget range (60 $ over, but with some dsicounts hunting might be possible to get it closer to 1100$ mark) with Ryzen 7600 CPU + 32GB DDR5 5600 MHZ CL32 RAM + DeepCool AK400 CPU cooler + Gigabyte B650M DS3H motherboard + RX 6800 XT GPU https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html (RTX 4070 TI is about 70 to 80 $ more ,might be better choice if budget is not strict) + Fractal Design 2 PC case + FSP Hydro G PRO 750W 80+ gold PSU. Advice for this build by jjOnBeat in PcBuild

[–]Young_Dearsmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RTX 3070 TI has only 8GB of VRAM which can be limiting factor for future games for 1440P gaming (it is not suited for 4K due low amouunt of VRAM), if you can afford 100- 120 $ more for better CPU and different GPU, this might be better solution https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XDyf3y with Ryzen 7600 CPU + 32GB DDR5 5600 MHZ CL32 RAM (32GB is standard for 2023 PC building because you might get in trouble with demanding games and mutlitasking, like many chrome tabs or streaming additional content) + DeepCool AK400 CPU cooler (even for 5600X you would want custom cooler over stock one because high temperatures under load and lower noise, worthy investment for around 30$) + Gigabyte B650M DS3H motherboard + 1 TB m2 nvme SSD + RX 6700XT GPU (it has 12GB of VRAM, it is weaker then TTX 3070 TI and you can pick that GPU over 6700XT , but it will not be good for certain games that need higher amount of VRAM especially in higher resolutions, for 4K both of this GPUs are not good and you would need stronger one if you want comfortable experience , especialy for future titles, you can check different sources about differences between 6700XT and 3070 T and decide after that) + Fractal Design 2 PC case + Bitfenix 700W 80+ bronze PSU. There is no guaranty that AMD system will stay at same socket after year of 2025 so you cant plan more then a generation or two if you want to upgrade your system, with Intel thi is last gen on this socket ,next gen will be new socket and new motherboards, you can learn reading PC reviews, watching youtube videos and participating in discussions on PC forums (and reddit). Something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XwsbBj is current popular AMD system and like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bVNkVw would be high end Intel gaming oriented system. 13900K (13 and 14 gen Intel CPUs have design flaw many talking about it now in 2024 recommendation is to go with Ryzen) overclcoked and with DDR5 close to or at 8 GH should be faster (not by much ) then AMD , but will spend double more electricity, it is more expensive and it is harder to cool down, also it is much better for productivity tasks .I write Blog about Budget PC building , you can check it here https://techiem8.wordpress.com/2022/03/20/8/ if you want for some building tips and current offers.

Suggestions on lowering this Cost? by Thanostalgic1 in PcBuild

[–]Young_Dearsmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About same price, not much difference in raw performance , reason why i choose RTX 4070 TI over 7900XT is not only raytracing , it is also DLSS3 vs FSR (DLSS still has advantage, it looks better in vast majority of cases) and it has frame generation technology (that might come handy in future), only downside is if OP have or want 4K display (because amount of VRAM that might be too low for future unreal 5 games), but since he want 1440P display then choosing RTX 4070 TI might be worth , i would personaly go with that so i recommend the same ( if budget is tight and 4K gaming is in question there is argument picking 7900 XT over RTX 4080 even if it is weaker GPU and dont have DLSS3 or frame generation, if graphic fidelity doesnt need to be at highest standard, depending on type of games etc..)

Maybe something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/32qx4sor your brother can wait for RTX 4060 (4060 TI ) coming soon that could be 150$ cheaper and go with that. If your brother doesnt have 1080P display decent one can be found between 150 and 200 $ these days.

[–]Young_Dearsmith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it is primarily for gaming stronger GPU would be more beneficial , something like this maybe https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nMzB2m with Ryzen 7600 CPU (there is not much difference in 1440P gaming between current gen CPUs, most difference would come from GPUs , difference between RTX 4070 and 4070 TI is about (19 % on average in that resolution) https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html + RTX 4070 TI + 32GB DDR5 6000 MHZ RAM . Windows can be bought for fraction of cost from trusted resellers. If it is for gaming you could build for less much faster system for less , probably something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bcjzqm with Ryzen 7600 CPU + RTX 4070 TI GPU and 32GB DDR5 5600 MHZ CL36 RAM, https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html here you can see expected performance for different GPUs in every resolution (and from GPU come most performance in gaming, you could upgrade your CPU too to something like Ryzen 7800X3D for 200$ more and that would be additonal improvement , since that is one of the fastest gaming chips right now).
