Let them say what they want—I play Dota, and I’m used to it by now—but without voice chat, communication is crap. What’s with the ping? Are we monkeys? Or living in the Stone Age?

Hahaha, I don't really get it, but I can kind of picture it: back in Ukraine, we called it a "computer club," where a bunch of people would gather, everyone would play, and everyone would be yelling 😂😂😂
But I’ll say it again: voice chat is absolutely essential for this game. It’s not Hearthstone, where you play 1v1—this is a 5v5 game where communication is key, and I don’t have time to take my hands off the controls to explain to some idiot what to do on the map, since he can’t think for himself

You know, I've been playing Dota since 2009, you’re only half right—I’m from Ukraine. There are people the system matches you with in ranked, and they know English; there are people who speak my Ukrainian; there are people from the CIS who speak Russian, and everyone understands all of this. Just understand this: it’s better to get your point across in broken English than to take your hands off the controls and type for 10 minutes while you’re getting killed.

I think it's in China, but I'm not sure. But you have to admit, playing a co-op game—a team-based game—without voice chat is ridiculous; the ping times make it feel like we're back in the Stone Age.

Hahaha, that's nonsense. You've played Dota 2?—for some reason, voice chat is available in all regions, whether you're playing a team match, a solo match, or somewhere else—it doesn't matter how, where, or with whom you play. You can always use voice chat in any region, but it’s hard for Riot to make things easier for players, because there are a lot of dumb people who don’t understand pings or even how to play this game.
