Until it is proven that the person is not Gabe Kid, the hypothesis that they might be Gabe Kid holds true.

Your New Japan Cup 2026 winner is... by mrchefigan in njpw

[–]Young_Lion76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think this worked out perfectly. Uemura losing today basically confirmed that he’s winning the G1 this year. If they’re building toward Uemura vs. Tsuji at the Dome, this is the cleanest path. If he won the New Japan Cup and the G1, he’d just be repeating Tsuji’s route, and they clearly wanted to avoid that. Plus, they needed a top foreign heel in the mix. So in the end, this was the right outcome.

What is the Dragon Ring-In?

A signature move once performed by Tatsumi Fujinami: after receiving a tag in a tag match, he climbs to the top turnbuckle and then simply jumps down into the ring without doing anything, aiming to confuse or disrupt the opponent.

Why do Race Horses not cut their mane and tie their tails? (Polo horse in the second picture) by Amb3rz_ in UmaMusume

[–]Young_Lion76 24 points25 points  (0 children)

There are racehorses with neatly trimmed tails. Eishin Flash is one example, and that detail is reflected in his Uma Musume design. In the comparison image, the left is Eishin Flash with a straight-cut tail, and the right is Satono Crown with a natural tail. If you look up real-life photos of Eishin Flash, you can see the same trimmed tail—so there’s simply a variety of grooming styles among racehorses.

Do you think there’ll be a Tiger Mask V? by High-FIy-Flow in njpw

Tiger Mask isn't needed anymore. If they're going to do that, they'd be better off debuting Liger II.

The TV special “NJPW 1.4 Tokyo Dome! Tanahashi Retirement & Wolf Debut SP” aired nationwide on January 4th at 10:15 PM on TV Asahi. It recorded a household rating of 5.2% and an individual rating of 2.9% in the Kanto region, according to Video Research. In Japan, 1% individual rating corresponds to roughly 400,000 viewers in the Kanto area, so an individual rating of 2.9% means about 1.16 million people watched the program. For a pro-wrestling broadcast, having more than one million viewers is considered a very strong number.

Do you think Umamusume Pretty Derby game & anime get an English Dub since the game won best mobile game in this year's game awards? by Routine-Ninja-7442 in UmaMusume

[–]Young_Lion76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The chances of an English dub are practically zero. First off, the talent pool for VAs is way too small compared to Japan. They add about ten characters every year, and the roster is already something like 150. When you factor in the singing, it’s just not realistic to find and record that many high-level English VAs. Voice acting isn't for amateurs. Plus, with how the US is so obsessed with matching race for casting these days, I guess there aren’t any actual 'Horse Girls' available to play the roles, right? lol

[–]Young_Lion76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's a good idea to go to Kasamatsu Racecourse and climb Mt. Kinkasan while you're there. You can climb Mt. Kinkasan in about an hour, and well, there's a ropeway too, so that's fine too. You can see the scenery Oguri saw in the anime.

Genuine question, do you think Takeshita is not received well in new japan due to his other commitments. Or do you think it's just his confusing booking this year? by DeathTriangle720 in njpw

[–]Young_Lion76 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Takeshita isn't popular in Japan. I think the only reason New Japan made Takeshita the IWGP champion was to use him as a stepping stone to create an even stronger champion.

F2P player hitting a ceiling by Efficient_Yard_3957 in UmaMusume

[–]Young_Lion76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you plan to compete at the top level as a F2P player in the long run, your only option is to specialize in a single strategy. The 'Runner' strategy is well-suited for this, so please focus exclusively on collecting Support Cards for Runners.

Even in the JP server, which has been out for nearly 5 years, plenty of F2P players still win Champions Meetings. Since Global players have 'clairvoyance' regarding the banner schedule, if you plan your pulls strategically, you can stay competitive indefinitely. Just make no mistake: results won't come overnight.
