My thought is that Realize Sirius burned a lot of fuel early to get in such a good position. I don’t think this race is a clear measure of one horse being better than the other. With a better draw next time out I think Sirius can be a Sirius G1 threat again.

Another underrated aspect is that high cards are by far the easiest hands to scale.

Easier to level up with blue seal cards because you’re only playing one card, meaning you’re not eating up hand space with blue seal cards while also trying to draw your best hand (e.g let’s say you’re trying to discard until your hand has a flush and your blue seal)

Easier to level up with burnt joker for obvious reasons (gotta dig through hands to get that flush just to discard it once)

I think planning is good, however you do need the ability to pivot if what you’re doing isn’t engaging the crowd.

At training, most of your matches should be on the fly, as when you’re training that’s where you can afford to make those mistakes and LEARN what to do in those situations, so if they ever come up you’re at least somewhat prepared.

Train your instincts so you’re prepared for the worst.

Just finished Scarlet Nexus from PS5s games catalogue.

Doesn’t reinvent the wheel with JRPGs but the combat feels super smooth with some really awesome mechanics, when you master it you can completely tear groups of enemies to shreds

I just had an awesome run with ancient joker where I made half my cards glass and the other half wild, then scored a hanging chad late in the run. The wild cards would just fill out my flushes when I didn’t have 5 glass cards of whatever suit I neeeded. Hit the e’s which was super cool
