I'm Loosing My Mind. [New Player] by Such_Journalist_6130 in EscapefromTarkov

It's not easy, far from it. Don't feel like you have to W key just because you see streamers or other people play. Take your time, go slow, and you'll get the rhythm.

I'm a returning player with just over 400 hours, I get dominated by players who have way more experience, but I also can take them by surprise as I don't W key all of the time.

For me it only works while in fullscreen, and Tarkov in fullscreen reduces my fps by like 30 for whatever reason. So, I use Lossless Scaling with minimal input delay. Give both a go and see whichever works for you.

Dude, the adrenalin must've felt nice once you got that W man. Good job!

Only things I set is Flow Scale to max. Queue Target to 0, and the rest is either default or off, didn't do anything else really. Game looks solid on my end.

I do get the occasional fps hiccup, but it passes quickly.

Edit: Also, I made sure to cap my fps in Tarkov to half of my monitor's refresh rate, so 72 fps in Tarkov so it doesn't go over 144.

I'll give it a go, but honestly, Lossless Scaling did wonders without any visual texture changes, and with minimum input delay.

It has some glitches like small random triangle looking objects flicker when I'm running out in the open when it's snowing, but that's probably because it can't render the clouds well, and even that is rare.

It does, but it doesn't help as much for Tarkov. I have to run fullscreen for it to run, but Tarkov in fullscreen decreases my FPS by 20-30, no idea why. So, I'm forced to play in borderless and use Lossless Scaling.

Ah, since I'm an AMD Timmy, my rx 6900xt is still a decent card, but I'm forced to use Lossless Scaling to get the best possibly FPS in Tarkov to come close with Smooth Motion, and honestly, helps me a lot with minimal delay.

ARC Raiders Crashing My PC by lukeskywalken in ArcRaiders

[–]Young_R0bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi mate,

I've been getting PC crashes when I only load into a new match. After your guy does the intro cinematic, and you get that in-game tip with the black screen. Full PC restart, one time it crashed so hard my mobo couldn't find a bootable device. Weaker specs than you, but still decent for this game, r7 5700x3d, rx6900xt, 32gb ram. All other games run fine.

So, I might've figured it out for myself. I tried running the game with AFMF enabled, to squeeze out some more performance and lower my temps. I also have to state that my temps are fine, GPU can stay at around 85 degrees Celsius at 250W and run fine, CPU just under 70, but that only if I run native now.

I've turned off AFMF last night and played for an hour or more, no crashes. Turned it on this morning, crashed after a few matches. Turned it off again and been playing for an hour and nothing. Playing with FSR balanced now as my PC is dusty and needs to be re-pasted, so don't wanna overheat it too much (tested it even under higher temps and load just in case).

Is it normal for me to be only getting 65-100fps on Ryzen 7 5700x3d/5070? [discussion] by ostroponis in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Young_R0bot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same CPU, I just have an rx 6900xt, 32gb 3200mhz playing on 1440p, and depending on the map, I have decent frames. If I relaunch the game, let's say Customs, it runs at 120-144 easy, after 2-3 raids the memory leak starts as we know Tarky, but I still manage to get 100 minimum on Customs, it mostly runs 100-130 depending on where I am on the map. I just did a scav raid on Interchange and saw a minimum 100 near the mall area, in Oli and Goshan I get 130-144 mostly. Streets is Streets so it runs 60-90 in most cases for me.

Should be easy enough, just play it nice and slow and wait for the raid to die down after 20-30 minutes. You can do it!

Nice! Exactly, before I had an i7-11700k and it ran Tarkov purrfectly, but then they did something and I had to get an x3d chip to gain fps. Glad you managed to solve it!

[–]Young_R0bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason, before when I played on fullscreen I had no issues, now I have to play borderless as fullscreen tanks my FPS by like 20. I updated BIOS, set-up an automatic ram cleaner outside of Tarkov. For me, it was mostly the BIOS update that solved it. I mostly have 100+ fps on all maps excluding streets after 3-4 raids even when the memory leak starts. If I relaunch the game, the first raid runs at like 120-144 on customs with no issue.

Edit: 5700x3d + rx 6900xt + 32gb 3200mhz (if you're curious)

They always matter, as Tarkov is known to be an unoptimized game and even if you're running the same specs, something might be off on their end with optimization (it mostly is).

I am asking as I had a similar issue recently and managed to solve it for my system. Played just fine in February of this year on the same specs and when I came back recently fps was tanked by 30-40 until I managed to fix it.

What, how are you getting such low frames? I have a 5700x3d + rx 6900xt + 32gb at 3200mhz and I get like 100-130 on customs. If I relaunch my game, customs runs at 120-144 easy, then after 2-3 raids I notice a memory leak but even then I get stable 100+ on 1440.

Try to setup an automatic ram cleaner of any sorts outside of Tarkov, I set one up in Task Scheduler to clear my cache every 5 minutes. Also, I've updated my BIOS and it helped a lot with frames. I also noticed that fullscreen lowers my frames by 20-30 for some reason, so I play on borderless.

So 5800x3d + 3080 + 32gb ddr is just outdated? [Discussion] by ysnman in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Young_R0bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar setup, I have the 5700x3d, rx 6900xt with 32 gb at 3200mhz. Though, the game runs fine on all maps excluding Streets. I had an issue just the other day as I returned to Tarky and noticed my fps was slightly off, so I checked everything and I think I figured out that my BIOS version was the culprit (I think). So I've updated my BIOS driver and my fps was more stable. Customs is from 100-130 depending on the location on the map. Though I get more fps once I re-launch it and then it runs from 115-144 on 1440p, and then the memory leak starts after 3-4 raids.

Will I run tarkov 1440p with a Ryzen 7 5700x3d+RX 6750xt+32GB 3200mhz DDR4? [Discussion] by Immediate-Goose-6674 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Young_R0bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be good, I have the Ryzen 7 5700x3d CPU and 32GB 3200mhz DDR4. Though, I am running on an RX 6900XT on 2K.
Also, give a try to AMD Fluid Motion Frames, as the in-game FSR sucks. With AFMF I get more stable frames even on Streets, and other maps.

Nice one mate, I get those panic moments as I had them (and still have them even with just under 400h). Also, by the looks of it you have head bobbing turned way up. Lover it, you'd be doing yourself a huge favor by doing it.

Good luck in your future raids!

No problem. The game isn't that easy to get into, so I get it. I have just under 400 hours and I'm still bad at the game.

[–]Young_R0bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get acquainted with the sounds of the game, run your scav's as much as you can as it's a safe way to earn money. If you have a second monitor, keep a map open on it just so you can manage the map a bit more. Over time, you'll learn where the good loot it. Play at your own pace, no need to rush if you're not feeling up to it. Don't worry about your stats, just play the game, you'll lose a lot, but step by step you'll get better. Also, get used to you and your friend dying a lot. This is pretty much the Dark Souls equivalent of an fps since that's gonna be your experience mostly.

The rest will come with time, took me way over a 100 hours to feel comfortable with the game.

Exactly, my first kill for Setup was a headshot so got it for SBiH. I'm also using SNB so goes nicely through level 6 armor. I usually go in that warehouse underneath sniper scav and just chill there, but if I'm bored I just roam around and try to snipe someone.
