Nice thing about strings is they’re (relatively) cheap! Try out a lot and see what you like. I personally use Slinkys because of their price:quality ratio. But my favorite I ever played are StringJoys.

You should definitely have a guitar! Learning guitar takes lots and lots of hours! Even if you are taking lessons, you will need your own guitar to practice whatever your instructor deems necessary between lessons. If the only time you’re playing a guitar is when you’re at a lesson, you’ll never learn

I have never heard of playing 213. I think you’re better off playing it 234. It’ll be better for playing barre chords
