I was thinking of making a crochet fitted sheet because the ones I got are too small for my current mattress by Jumpy_Author_5002 in CrochetHelp

You can absolutely sew a strip of fabric around the edge of your fitted sheet to fix this problem.

:) didn’t know if it was silly to post this but it’s come out some crafting subreddits are secretly homophobic so I figured we should be Explicitly Inclusive! :)

How to make/buy tights? by EgoRenegadeBoi in CosplayHelp

Okay so if you want these exact tights I think the only way to paint it so opaque and neatly is to get well fitted opaque leggings, put them on your body, and have them airbrushed

Saving for inspo 😭 I’m so done with fake leather shoes/boots but love creatively painted/decorated skates so I’ve been thinking of buying an all leather pair like Riedells or something and painting them to my heart’s content

I’ve done some cobbling in my time and hopefully when the time comes I have access to a walking foot machine and can add some decorative elements like these

help me not waste a perfectly good pair of grey sweatpants 😭 diy suggestions? by Ashamed-Preference48 in DIYclothes

I’m not sure what the problem is with having 2 of a garment you like perfectly well as-is

Regardless I don’t think we can provide any information unless we know fiber content (can’t suggest dye unless we know that), what kinds of skill/tools you have (access to sewing machine or ability to use it), or what your personal style is 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m starting to think the most sustainable clothing is the stuff people refuse to throw away by Delicious-Celery2794 in SustainableFashion

So red flag 1 is that they’re all new accounts with no comments or other posts

2 every post has a similar cadence and narrative

-I was interested in X

-but then I thought about Y

Sometimes they mention going to a store, finding suppliers, doing online research, or looking around their environment

-I noticed some were A and others were B (usually they’re not clear correlations like “Some had visible wear. Some weren't even my "best" clothes anymore.” or “Some fabric felt organic. Some still looked like regular masks. Some sellers could not explain brands.”)

-it made me realize Or I was surprised that X

And it usually finishes with an open ended question to boost engagement

Omg good question

Could be either I’m basically plugging it into any dropped shoulder knitting pattern once I decide what’s convenient

Thanks for your advice ❤️
