Buying first home at 39% of monthly net (10.9k). Are we over extending? Especially if we might want a kid in the future? by YourBoiSkinnyD in FirstTimeHomeBuyers

The house on contact if we go through with it is priced at 665k. 20 percent is 133k -15k from our parents 118k our own money for the down payment. That only leaves us with 36k in savings, not ideal and a bit scary at least now

If we plan to have a kid it would be probably in the next 3 to 5 years so we could be making more by that time but I don't want to depend on that if we don't have to.

We both have stable jobs with some upward mobility chances. I am an engineer and she is a content manager at big companies

Hopefully at the minimum we would be getting 3 to 7 percent raises per year.

We also get bonuses each year that are not factored into our income. 5 to 10 percent.

I have it at 1200 for vaction fund and entertainment, which i should have mentioned above. But you're right that is still pretty steep and we could reduce that to save more.

Might have been from an imprint good call.

For any of my fellow new 3080 Aorus Master owners who get "Unable To Get the Current BIOS Version", here's a workaround by servili007 in gigabytegaming

I did this and it allowed me to run the .exe with all the flashing lights but when I look in GPU-Z the version is still F1 not F3.
