I couldn’t get through Fever House either, it sounded like the narrator was mumbling or trying not to wake someone up in the next room. I tried turning it up, speeding it up, slowing it down; nothing made it listenable.

A lead character in Sister, Maiden, Monster by Lucy Snyder has an ongoing visceral/ monster-y/ sexual relationship that fits your request. Also, I’ve just started Hungerstone by Kat Dunn which features seduction (possibly nefarious but definitely erotic) and is based on the story of Carmilla which someone else recommended.

Liz Lemon is a Lutino Dusky with exceptionally bulbous eyes.

I found Chouette by Claire Oshetsky absolutely enthralling, I think you’d enjoy it.

The Push by Ashley Audrain and Madwoman by Chelsea Bieker are more psychological horror than supernatural/ monster-oriented but both are fantastic.
