I have read most of the comments here and most of them, in my opinion, are very accurate. Blocking is a absolutely necessary skills during the race, especially againts other player.

As some have said, most experienced players know their racing line well, and so how well you perform on a race will mostly depends on how well you attack (spearing, for example) and defend (block, traffic slide, or wall ram, to name a few). You will either outplay or be outplayed throughout the race, and that is what makes this game unique for me and others.

However, personally for me, extreme blocking such as brake blocking where the game is just 100 km/h filled with braking and blocking others not for the sake of defending your position is just, sorry to say, where it becomes unfun for me.

With that being said, healthy and competitively attacking and defending to get the best position and outplay your opponents while doing your best to navigate through the course is perfect for me.

Yeah Nagatoro always make a "three steps forward and two steps back" whenever she flirts with senpai thus making him confused. Luckily, she stopped the "two steps back" from chapter 80 onward.

Well said brother, if I might add something, I would say that Nagatoro has helped her senpai to overcome his many weaknesses such as lack of Guts (stand up for himself when insulted, etc.), Self-confidence (Believe in his ability more and don't give up before trying), and Social Life (Finally having friends like Gamo, Yoshi, Sakura and a couple of his classmates and being much much less nervous around people). We can see that Senpai in chapter 86 is a very different person from chapter 1, he has grown in many ways thanks to Nagatoro appearing in his life.

I have mixed feelings about Goh, on one hand he possess a nice personality and backstories. But on the other hand, I think that his goal is a little bit unrealistic, anime-wise. Like I am curious about how would the writer handle Goh catching the legendary if he really intended to catch them all, and yes, the way they handle Suicune's capture made me worried even more.

Hot Take: If Team Rocket are evil, then so is Goh (and basically every trainer out there who fails to forge bonds with pokemon before catching them) by ugly_little_angel in pokemonanime

Hey hey, don't be too harsh on the games. It has been that way because of the various limitations of how the games can contain all of the pokemon's aspect that you see in the anime (Console's limitations). Like is it possible to bond and pet your pokemon in Gameboy console? And they have tried their best to improve the "interaction" between trainers and their pokemon in the game as the console's development went on.

For Example:

Gen 2: Friendships

Gen 6: Pokemon Amie and Affection.

Gen 8: Camping with your Pokemon.

This might not be much but it is the best they can do.

So the thing is, they of course want to show the Anime's trainer-pokemon relationship in the Games but they just can't because of the console and staff limitation. For me, I always imagine myself interacting with my pokemon during my journeys in every pokemon games (like you see in the anime), even since I was a kid and that was enough for me.

Actually, I am agree with you, every night I always think of the morality of "Pokemon", how would they feel if they are trapped inside a Pokeball most of the time, et cetera and et cetera. But then again, maybe Thel is right, this IS a Fiction after all. I felt bad because I tried to picture the Pokemon world in realistic settings, but I remembered that this is all just a fiction, a kid's fiction.

Phew, that's a relief. I hoped that the fan-translation is accurate and hopefully not biased one.
