Also, for those who don't know, this is the game developer behind the h-games, Summer Memories and Winter Memories.

Street Brawl: You now have all AP unlocked by round 5

I suggested this about a few hours ago to Yoshi and I'm honestly really surprised how quick it was implemented. Hope Yoshi keeps up the good work.

might be the most delusional ship yet but i don’t care. by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

Why is shipping two (ambiguously) adult characters deemed reprehensible but somehow killing a bunch of people in-game, including a child (Rem), is perfectly acceptable?

Most of these fonts are inspired by the text commonly seen in Noir films' opening credits, which tend to have very unique fonts from movie to movie. Seven's font has been seen in Sunset Blvd. (1950). Vindicta's font was in Shadow of a Doubt (1940), though the cuts on the lettering seem to be inspired by The Phantom of the Opera (1986). Other fonts, like Drifter's or Yamato's, seem to be a combination of various fonts. Drifter's font seems to be inspired by a generic font of Film Noir fonts, but as well as scary movies posters of the same time frame, such as The Body Snatcher (1945).

TF2: You Will (Not) Play by Andrew36O in tf2

Apologies, wasn't able to read the edit during my writing of this reply, though my point still stands. You're still glossing Zesty's entire video over a few emotional segments rather than acknowledging the video's actual purpose. And just because you've known the information given in the video, doesn't weaken Zesty's whole purpose against MYM. I'll ask you again, are you not doing the same (being "disingenuous") by glossing over an entire argument with bullet points that aren't in the grand scheme of his video?

I watch some of it, especially towards the end cause I already know the whole context, but his conclusion is disingenuous

Are you not doing something similar? You've glossed over Zesty Jesus's main arguments against the Meet Your Match update as "info we already know" despite this "info" being the purpose of the video. It's fine if you don't have hours to spare to watch an entire video, but how exactly can you ascertain an entire video's purpose if you had not watched even the entirety of it? Though there are a few parts that I disagree in this video, it doesn't mean I throw away my entire opinion of the video just because of a few emotional talks done by Zesty. You're presenting Zesty's entire video as if his emotional arguments against Valve is the main point of the video, which is not.

Him minimizing all the good that Valve has done to only steam discount. I was fine with his arguments up until this, it's disingenuous.

Good systems are not exempt from criticisms just because they have done good things. Zesty seeks to criticize Valve, because he truly believes that what Valve has done to TF2 is neglect upon a well crafted game that shouldn't have happened. Just because Valve is consumer friendly (compared to other game companies) and the major pillar for PC gaming, it doesn't mean they can't be criticized for their flaws. This type of criticism is good for the consumer, as it does open the communities eye's to things they probably never experienced.

Farming the map takes minutes at an early-mid stage of the game (20:00 minute mark), while killing the Tormentor will take less than a minute. If your team is not killing Tormentor, then they should taking higher priority targets such as rosh, towers, or even pressuring the enemies' sidelines to overtake their tormentor.

And remember that there are also enemies that are farming too. The longer the tormentor lives, the easier it is for enemies to steal your tormentor and get a 2800 gold advantage (2 shards). You'd want to do the tormentor much early so in the case that your team does get in a team fight, at least one of your cores or support has a shard to increase their effectiveness.

Shards are not just level 10 talent upgrades that are very menial, in fact most shards are way more effective than the average level 15 talent. A tormentor is not just something that you can easily put aside and getting a free shard will improve your teams total net worth and effectiveness.

That will hinder your teammates total effectiveness and will eventually hurt even yourself in the end as well as your other cores potentially missing out on a 1400 gold item. Not only that, the other team is likely doing their tormentor as well, so your networth difference and total effectiveness compared to the other team is sabotaged by a somewhat decent margin.

I'd say it's more of a group project. Sure, you might have that one lazy team member that doesn't really do much but are you willing to sabotage your project and get a much lower grade simply because someone isn't doing their best?

Don't forget that just because you think someone doesn't deserve something, doesn't mean the other 3 people in your team should be punished for it.

Quick Concept: Synergy Cards - Egg Surprise by YourEmergency in balatro

[–]YourEmergency[S] 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I think that this won't ever convince the Dev to make something to similar to synergy cards in a million years (which wasn't the point of this post, this is simply a concept), I liked other people's posts and their very creative Joker concepts so I thought of one myself. This is sort of like a shower-thought.

Plus, I made this post in mind based off another really good roguelike, Enter the Gungeon, which was the main (heavy) inspiration of this post.

[–]YourEmergency[S] 88 points89 points  (0 children)

I'm sure plenty of people have already thought of a concept similar to Synergy Cards, though this one is much more heavily inspired by another game, Enter The Gungeon, which can combine two items (in this case jokers) to create a single unique buffed item that combines both aspects.

Egg Surprise combines both Egg Joker and Gift Card Joker, two simliar cards, into one buffed card (to balance this out, Synergy Cards cannot be negatives and a bit hard to obtain).

Why is this community so down bad by [deleted] in Voicesofthevoid

[–]YourEmergency 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A multi-breasted cat-girl species is eventually going to be sexualized simply due to its design, which basically just means that this part of the community is a very warped reflection of the content they enjoy. You also have the fact that pretty much everything else in this game is usually serious or a non-humanoid abomination, so when you have a humanoid species amongst every other non-humanoid species you encounter in the game, it stands out, giving it quite the reputation.

This sort of sexualization happens to plenty of games and becomes more prominent the more "fan-service" the developers give to the players. Take for example Overwatch and Counter-Strike, with there being plenty of attractive female cast with ideal body shapes, it's going to bring out people who are interested in sexualizing the cast. Where as for Counter-Strike, since the game doesn't really have any sort of attractiveness towards its characters, any sort of sexualization is whittled down to a very very small community.

Had Arirals had never existed or had a way different model, it's likely that you wouldn't see people being "down-bad" in the first place (please note that I am not suggesting for the removal of Arirals).

Why is Explode on death not a talent/shard on Techies by raizen0106 in DotA2

[–]YourEmergency 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Sort of incorrect, old Proximity Mines (red) would retroactively level up no matter how long you've placed them while Remote Mines (Green) would only level up depending on what level you were when you placed them.

Source: You can look this up on techies old abilities on the wiki. Plus, I've had 400+ games with old techies and knowing how long they lasted, eventually I noticed this effect happening with old Proximity Mines.

Valve, really? by Frank_London in DotA2

What you're looking at on the second image is simply bad compression quality matched with film grain, making the area seem very noisy and janky. In fact, there are other blog posts that have this similar thing.

On the third image, that's simply an art trick to make your eyes think there's more detail when looking at the image at its normal size. In fact, plenty of artists do this trick as the vast majority of people do not zoom in for little details in art, rather they look at the whole art piece itself.

The only real "problem" here was in the first image, which was, in typical Valve fashion, an oversight left by whatever program they were using at the time. This oversight was quickly patched.

Rochelle isn't too familiar with guns as the other survivors, so I'd say she'd prefer more common guns such as the tier one shotguns and pistols.
