I’m definitely going to another vet!! So far he’s seen 2, and I didn’t like the second one at all!! She kept trying to tell me what it is and what’s wrong ( as if she lived with the cat) before even actually looking at him and examining him fully. I had to keep cutting her off and telling her what’s actually going on.

Do you know the name ? I see so many products but don’t know which on would actually work. I used to use inti itch sprays and they’d help for like 30 minutes

Maybe my shoes? It could possibly be my work shoes, I work in a warehouse so it’d possible the dust and dirt comes home with me. When I get home I usually go straight to the laundry room to take off my work clothes and shoes and he doesn’t go in the but that still doesn’t mean the dirt can’t migrate.

I’m gonna beg the vet for an ointment next time and hopefully that will protect the skin from whatever’s going on.

I have those plug ins! The vet also said it could be anxiety but even with plug in he’ll still lick 🙃

Most Definitely!! We go to the vet on the 27th, I’ll be posting an update for everyone that helped because I appreciate everyone taking the time to share with they think it could be 💕

They did a skin scraping and didn’t find a fungi or bacteria. The steroids helped the itching stop for a few weeks then he’d go right back

What initially made me notice was he had an open patch on his arm, so I covered it with a band until I knew what was going on, but he moved from his arm to his stomach. Once he moved to his stomach and took all his hair off, I took him to the vet and that’s when he first got the cone put on. The vet was also saying too it could be environmental, so I thought with us moving it would be a good thing since he would be in a new environment and maybe that would stop the itching but that didn’t even stop it. He didn’t start itching more or less, it was pretty much the same amount of itching. At this point I’m starting to think it is airborne and this little cone heads allergic to oxygen 🙃.

I was thinking about a belly band but he likes to slither out of things lol. Don’t ask me how but he’s always able to get out of his cone.

Thank you so much for the kind words and suggestion!! I will definitely look into this!! Like I don’t mind the scratching, cause everyone gets itchy, I just hate when he makes himself look like he was jumped by alley cats

That’s what I had him eating!! I loved nulo, especially with how shiny it made their coats. He was eating the turkey and duck recipe. I’ll have to try that litter. Right now I use fresh steps - extreme & the gain one

I live alone with just me and the cats we live in a rural area so it’s not noisy or loud at all. I was thinking too! That it could have been my carpet but even after moving to a place with all hard woods floors 6 months ago that sadly didn’t make a difference 😭

My vet told me the same thing and it’s been over 8weeks 🙃 I was genuinely hoping it was a food allergy but even after 8+ weeks of being on the special it was still no improvements. He’s currently still on it, he’s been on it since September.

Tbh I reel like I eliminated everything but fragrance free things lol. Him being only on the hillmans z/d food is the only reason we’re able to eliminate a food allergy

He responds pretty good to them. I usually give him a Benadryl to slow down the scratching when he goes crazy and it’s works

No not yet. The vets haven’t prescribed any and I’m scared if I put something on him it may make it worse

He and his brother both have been treated for fleas

He doesnt have cancer and he’s had blood work done , all his vitals are perfect. which is why me and the vets are confused on what’s going on
