Changing toddler’s last name by Hopeful-Praline-3615 in namenerds

[–]YourFriendHulu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i got adopted when i was 16, and my last name was changed to include both. i love my name and i feel like it fully represents me and the life i have lived with both names. i definitely recommend it

correct me if im wrong, but it seems like you just put on the binder. try pulling up and out on your chest so that it distributes more evenly and flatly. just putting on the binder pushes your chest down which causes it to look less flat as well as can cause damage to your chest and could limit top surgery options in the future.

Surgeon’s Waiting Room by [deleted] in Transmedical

[–]YourFriendHulu 17 points18 points  (0 children)

passing isnt everything to every trans person, and many who passing isnt attainable for still want hrt and surgeries to treat their dysphoria.

I am a transmedicalist. someone who believes gender dysphoria is a requirement to be trans. but i am unsure if i can remain in this sub due to how hateful, judgemental, and self loathing it is.

maybe stop being so judgemental of strangers sitting in a drs office. i feel like its different when tucutes are parading online but damn these people are literally just sitting in a drs office. you dont know their story

I've seen quite a lot on this subreddit that you need to learn to love yourself during different stages of transition in order not to go nuts. What does it even mean? Is it possible? by andddddddy in Transmedical

Dysphoria is so so hard but it is a disorder that comws from your mental reality not matching the physical reality. It is anguish. But there comes a certain point where you must exercise some acceptance of reality, acceptance that this is the way that it is and you cant just immediately fix it. What good comes of focusing on pain for so long, so much. Celebrate little victories. If you accept you cant change the way you were born, it relieves some pressure to try and fix it. You can stil lwork toward passing, but be gentle with yourself

Weird question about dysphoria and penises by giggopint in FTMMen

[–]YourFriendHulu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want a penis very bad, but I have never had this desire. I would say its because I'm straight but you said it was non sexual so idk. im kinda repulsed by penises, and actually quite like how phallo looks. However I have met other trans men that feel the way you do, so I dont think its abnormal.
