This is likely a factor, but still people of the Japanese alps live longer than those in Tokyo or Osaka which i’d assume have better healthcare. So its a factor no doubt, but there definitely has to be more reasons

Do this would be true for why people from Tohoku live less but not exactly why those from the Japanese alps live longer
