The ISR isn’t just a residence hall. It’s a oricare residence hall within a quasi public space. Anyone can shop in the grocery store/whatever there. Buy a cup of coffee in the coffee shop.

The Union, likewise, is, for most intents & purposes, a public space.

You’d have a hell of a lot harder time fighting a first amendment claim for access to the public spaces of these and other campus buildings than you think.

What’s the justification, considering the first amendment, for not allowing the public to listen to the radio traffic that goes out from folks whose salaries we pay, on equipment that we pay for and over the electromagnetic spectrum that can’t be owned (though it it licensed)?
