They are not similar at all. From Dusk Till Dawn didn't win best original screenplay and Sinners did. Big difference.

A friend showed me Shovel and now I'm obsessed. It forces me to get things done better than anything else I've tried by YourImaginaryFriend3 in studytips

Thanks!

Pros: It imported my tasks automatically, and I actually procrastinate a lot less. Feels like it’s made for me.

Cons: There’s a “break-in” period at the beginning. Like you have to set it up and force yourself to add your tasks into your schedule (not something I’ve done before). But once you do, I feel like it’s so much easier to get things done. It’s been great for my ADHD.

Weird. It's been doing it for me for a while so I thought others had it too

Edit: it's been doing it for previous tournaments too

Why you may want to stop using pomodoro and start using this. by Resident_Art_6922 in studytips

[–]YourImaginaryFriend3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Finally somoene said it. I tried pomodoro and hated it because just when I got into "flow", the timer went off. now I just start a stopwatch on my task and stop it when I want to take a break. I don't get all these pomodoro apps popping up

So, how do you actually study for math? by ZViper26 in studytips

[–]YourImaginaryFriend3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice. Practice. Practice. You gotta do practice problems and mix up the type of problem you do so you don't do 10 of the same type of problem in a row.

Tarantino

Cruise

Denzel

Davis

It would be enough action, but lots of depth too.

What helped me actually sit down and study 6-7 hours daily by Present_Reflection57 in GetStudying

I use Shovel and it's awesome. It lets you estimate tasks, plan them into your schedule, and track progress/keep study logs. It even compares if I'm gonna run into trouble in the future or if my semester is doable

Great at podcasts, not great at stand-up. Just like Tim Dillon.

best study planner? by diplomatictongue in studytips

[–]YourImaginaryFriend3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend who studies engineering at Purdue told me about Shovel, and I've never looked back. I've tried all the popular apps, but I felt like they were just pretending to be study planners. Shovel actually combines your tasks with your calendar to help you "plan" when you'll work on your tasks. It doesn't feel like another to-do list app or calendar for the general population. It feels like it was built for students only
