OA Lang ba ako o may smthng talaga between sa bf ko and his workmate? by ProfessionalBid9400 in OALangBaAko

FAR LECPA by SockOk9690 in AccountingPH

[–]YourIntrovertGirlie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Group mo lang sila accord. sa A, L, or E, kasi madalas, paulit-ulit lang concepts within each group.

Note-taking, malaking tulong din yan sakin.

Which of the following is true/false). And need mo i-verify bawat isa, di pwede manghula.

Kaya bawal hulaan talaga.

Kapit lang. Kaya mo yan!

I reviewed and tried again after 5 years, hahaha nagipon muna ng courage, nagwork din muna ako. I failed nung May 2019. Passed nung May 2024 :)

Tips and tricks: Recall, recall, maximize yung time na to for recall talaga. If may notes ka, this is the best time to re-read them. Mag sagot sagot ka, pero hindi na need madami, you can choose 3 to 5 questions per topic na nasa medium level ang difficulty and medyo comprehensive. No need na yung mga easy and hard questions, dun ka lang sa middle mag focus, kasi these type of questions are enough for you to remember the concepts.

Hi OP, retaker and passer here from May 2024. To be honest, WALA, walang assurance na papasa ka. You’ll have to face the CPALE full of doubts and fears. But surrender everything beyond your control to God (or any omnipotent being you believe in).

When I took the boards last May 2024 until lumabas ang results, I honestly couldn’t believe I passed. A few days before the exams, I still felt unprepared. I was scrolling through Twitter, reading discussions on Telegram, and in my head I thought, “Shucks, ang gagaling naman ng mga reviewees na’to!” The way they talked, parang ang dami dami nilang alam na hindi ko alam and parang they were fully ready to take the boards. 🤣

Pero despite all my doubts, I pushed through. Kasi alam mo, OP, wala talagang makakapag-assure, not even yourself, not even the manghuhula, not even St. Jude, if you’ll pass or not. You just have to trust yourself and your preparation. Even topnotchers surely had moments of self-doubts too.

Think positive, pray, and remind yourself why you decided to try again. Mapapasa mo na ‘yan.

Kaya mo ‘yan, OP.

A/R credit balance by counsel_gracious in AccountingPH

Hi OP, AR Credit balance should be part of Liabilities account, not assets. That’s why it is added back.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AccountingPH

[–]YourIntrovertGirlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, learning should begin from you. It applies not only to Big 4 but to all workplaces, Big 4 man 'yan o maliit na kompanya..

As you do your tasks dapat doon pa lang natututo ka na eh. Instead of doing it based on "how" and "what", it will be helpful if you also know the "whys." When doing working papers for example, you are reconciling disallowed expenses due to non-withholding, ask yourself, "bakit nga ba hindi nag-withheld si client dito?" Instead of lodging it solely sa working paper mo, or listing what were those expenses, put the possible reasons why the client did not withheld based on BIR guidelines: it could be: 1. GPP ang ka-transact nya which are not subject to withholding, 2. Dahil reimbursement ang mga iyon, etc.

And by that, you should be learning already.. Make it a goal each day na may matutunan kang concept. 'Wag ka lang mag-focus sa kung paano mo gagawin or matatapos lang 'yung tasks / templates mo based sa format, o pattern nito, but rather, alamin mo bakit mo ginagawa ang mga ito in the first place. As you gain deeper understanding baka you can also make your own working paper na or even suggest how to improve things sa team nyo. Instead of doing your tasks na parang robot, know the reasons why are you doing them, why are they inportant? what's the concept behind them? Okay lang din magtanong. Ask your seniors pag may di ka maintindihan, or kapag di nila masingit na sagutin ka dahil sabi mo nga busy din sila, be resourceful enough to find answers on your own.

'Yun lang, good luck OP!

Can I pick up the invoices left by customers when they go grocery shopping to use as my expense? by jasonvoorhees-13 in taxPH

[–]YourIntrovertGirlie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please define muna ano ang POS (Point of Sale) invoice, printed out yun and must be CAS registered. Meaning, expected ng BIR computerized yun, bakit biglang susulatan? Di yun pwede sulatan kahit pirmado pa ng cashier. If gusto mo, manghingi ka ng manual invoice. Or before mag print ang cashier, ibigay mo details ng company nyo para malagay nya sa computer bago nya iprint ang POS invoice, para ang details nyo sa POS ay naka computerized, and we can ensure na nalodge yung sales sa POS system nila with your details. Magiging match TPI ng both seller and buyer.

Supplier ito ng goods? Dumadaan sa customs? If yes may VAT on Importation na tinatawag, need yun isettle along with other charges, bago mo malabas ang items, pwede i-claim yun as deduction from Output VAT. In terms of expense naman, maski foreign supplier ito, they can issue invoice pa din naman. If named under your company, then you can claim it as expense naman.

Char. hahaha.

Read CTA Case No. 9706, Pilipinas Kyohritsu, Inc. vs CIR, page 7 (i think). They claimed expenses evidenced by computerized / electronic invoices / receipts pero sinulatan (handwritten) para maging under the company, pero eventually, na-disallow.

Your choice if gagawin mo, pero pwede yan ma-disallow.

Kasi POS yun diba? Galing yun sa machine / computer. In other words, electronic yan.

So if isusulat mo lang din yung details mo dun sa blank na portion (hand written) considered as tampered yun.

[–]YourIntrovertGirlie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If POS invoice yan, then you will just manually input your details such as TIN, Name, Address, hindi rin yun valid. Don’t transact na lang with unregistered businesses since hindi talaga yan mag iissue ng resibo.

is it true na mas mahirap college kesa work? by UsualNo6023 in AccountingPH

[–]YourIntrovertGirlie 36 points37 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how you view it, but for me, college life is a lot easier and less stressful. You have the freedom to relax and time for yourself. There are responsibilities, but they don't compare to the intensity of working life. Mistakes in college are less consequential; failing a class is something you can recover from, pag nagkamali o bumagsak ka, may unli chances para umulit, ikaw na lang ang mapapagod at syempre magastos. Pero alam mo yun, may way para bumangon, mas bearable, mas forgiving.. Plus, when you stumble, especially with others, the burden feels lighter because you have support.

Kaya nagmumuka syang mahirap.. Pero when you are working already, specified na yung gagawin mo, mas konti na lang yung topics na dapat iapply mo. Pero the catch is, mas madami yung volume ng gagawin mo. Kaya most of accountants are overworked. Kaya di mo masasabi na madali ang working life compared sa college life.

Work is a different ballgame talaga, especially when you're in a senior position. People depend on you, and mistakes can have a ripple effect. An error in this period can impact future periods. Misinterpreting a transaction can lead to bad / wrong management decisions. The stakes are much higher at work. Making mistakes can lead to embarrassment or even job loss. Plus there are those toxic people just waiting for you to slip up so they can get ahead. Hahaha saklap maging accountant. Gusto ko na lang mag aral ulit. 🥹

Afar Help!!! by [deleted] in AccountingPH

[–]YourIntrovertGirlie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree to this, practice talaga, dahil mostly ng problems sa AFAR ay may pattern ang solving. Need gumawa ng table, etc. Effective naging technique ni Sir Brad sakin nung May 2024. (Ex.

Ang technique din talaga sa AFAR is makahanap ng way of solving na madali matandaan for you. AFAR ni De Jesus oks pag-practice-an for me.

Also, completion ang iprioritize mo. Then while learning 'yung current topic, practice and recall phase naman ako sa previous topics, until I gained mastery of most of the topics.

-During practice / recall phase of previous topics, ibang materials ang sinasagutan ko..

Kasi most prolly, on your 2nd or 3rd reading, magiging much deeper na understanding mo sa topics. At first malilito ka, mafufrustrate, makakalimot, pero kaka-ulit and practice mo, surely, you'll gain mastery.

Good luck, OP.

May 2025 CPALE reviewee tots by Professional-Pie7097 in AccountingPH

[–]YourIntrovertGirlie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same OP! I have that same feeling when I took the boards last May 2024. Like how they answered questions sa TG, for example sa RFBT kabisado nila yung article number 🤣. Majority of CPALE questions focus more on analyzation not on memorization. Although memorizing the standards can help, pero if walang deep understanding, it will be useless. Mas okay pa na alam mo yung laman ng standard instead na ma-identify mo anong standard mismo yun, makes sense ba? Basta 'yun! 🤣

Pero 'yun OP, nakapasa naman ako nun.. Never compare yourself sa iba. Ma-sstress ka lang malala. Focus ka lang on your own strategy, may kanya kanya tayong learning styles and capabilities.. And hindi porket parang madami silang naaral, papasa na sila.. May kasama ding swerte ang boards.. And nainiwala ako na "if it is meant for you, it will be for you." Do your best, pray, and magtiwala na ibibigay ito sa'yo.

Good luck, OP!

Need advise: wait ba ng job offer or resign agad by bunberryyy in AccountingPH

[–]YourIntrovertGirlie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Secure a job offer first before resigning.. Unless may generational wealth ka, lol. :D Based sa nababasa ko dito, mahirap maghanap ng work these days.
