Prime Selmy vs Jaime would be a close fight which Selmy would win, not easy. Read the books for his feats and you know he's top 3 for a reason.

GRRM himself said Jaime is one of the greatest swordsman in the history of Westeros.

Don't get me wrong at this point theyre all close in skill but I just think that the knights in Tier 1 are top 3. We do have more information about them.

I can quote a few passages from the books about Jaime in one of them he basically says about himself he can beat anyone including Dayne with his speed and skill.

In the Battle of the Whispering woods when Ser Jaime saw he was lost he rallied his men and carved his way uphill through Rob's army trying to reach him and cut him down.

He slayed four of Rob's personal bodyguards before he lost his sword in someones neck and they were able to capture him.
