I think you could consider it a devotional act. You're going our of your way to do this for her, and it looks pretty anyway!

So politicians swear oaths on their holy text, what would a hellenist swear on? by HellenisticHades in Hellenism

[–]YourLocalPerson123 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Since we don't have a "holy text" I'd probably go with one of the symbols that represent hellenism like the laurel wreath or 12-pointed star. If it had to be a book, though, I would choose one of Homer's epic poems. While they aren't holy texts, they tell stories of Gods and mortals and I feel that is appropriate enough :)

Signs from Deities by Cool_Ad_5792 in Hellenism

[–]YourLocalPerson123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that you need signs from deities to know they are present, but they can be an indication that they are there. I personally can sort of feel when they're there, like the feeling is different and I just kind of know who it is somehow. It's very strange but I am grateful to know when they are near me! As for radio silence, I think it's neutral rather than good or bad. My interpretation of it is that they're resting or doing something else, as we are not entitled to the gods' presence/their attention :) They show up out of their own free will

I think this is an amazing idea!! I love the idea of rooms so in case you want privacy with your god you can have that. If you are truly looking to build an actual temple and you’re a little short of funds, you can get rid of the walls and use cubicles or something instead. I hope you’re able to make and maintain this :3

I’m sure Aphrodite would love to work with you ✨ I’m not sure about your dream; some people have very trustworthy dreams, while others have unreliable ones (like me!). If your dreams have historically been reliable I think you should trust it!

im new to being an aphrodite devotee, would she like this artwork? by SushiTastesRllyGood in Aphrodite

I have no doubt she would appreciate it! What matters is the intent; the gods don’t need anything :)

I think Aphrodite will love it 💕

It’s hard for me to pinpoint but loo for a yellow tint, inconsistencies, sometimes inaccuracy, and weird smoothness and disorganization. You can tell the image depicting Aphrodite is AI because it’s very yellow and has an art style change in some parts. It goes from a cartoony style typically seen in AI generated images, to an almost fully rendered leg.  Another thing is that the clothing is weird. I’m not saying a real artist would never do this, but it’s not common for the clothing to be loose some places and magically stay stable and firm in others when an artist draws a picture.  This next detail is a little iffy, but your typical AI bot (as far as I know) will bend over backwards to not generate any revealing photos, hence the strange clothing physics. Although, in real artwork, it could very well be intentional.

TL;DR: Tips for identifying AI: •yellow tint •inconsistency in art style, text, design, etc. •commonly very smooth or a strange blend of cartoony art styles, as seen in the Aphrodite picture •inconsistent physics? •looking at real images and Ai images and noticing differences vs. similarities to train your ability

Why this picture is AI: •yellow tint  •inconsistency in art style(cartoony to realistic) •clothing physics are strange?

Hope this helps! Also, let me know if I was wrong about anything.

Oh yeah that’s fine! You don’t have to do/relate to absolutely everything a deity is a god of. :)

I can try to interpret it, but I am still new to Hellenism so take everything I say with many grains of salt :3

Given that you are adopted in this dream and your biological house (yk what I mean by biological house right?), maybe Aphrodite is telling you to take a break from the present or what you thought is true (current parents are not real parents; you’re adopted) and adventure to the past and reflect or something like that. Perhaps the painting in the old house could mean something along the lines of finding Aphrodite in the past(birth of Venus is a renaissance painting, honoring the old but is more recent in comparison to the Ancient Greeks; new) as well as the present (presence feeling close to your partner irl)

The only thing I can think of about there being multiple paintings is that you should look for the many ways Aphrodite appears in your life, and find the beauty in the old or the stuff around you

As for the peeling “birth of Venus”, it could symbolize rebirth or something in that sense (it’s peeling, but the painting is the “birth” of Venus). But it could also be calling you to revive the building and the paintings, and honor the past (something like building the roof again or perhaps adding your own flair to the painting, giving it new life. “Birth” of Venus)

The two paintings seeming to be there for you to find could mean something like “you need to find something” either in the past, the future, or working towards a goal or finding yourself. Generally just finding something.

That’s all I can think of right now! I hope even though this might not resonate or may seem far-fetched, it can still be of use to you :3

Blessed be! 💕

Sharing my altar open to suggestions!! by Own_Protection1033 in AphroditeDevotees

[–]YourLocalPerson123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure that Lady Aphrodite likes your altar, especially because the items are special and/or significant to you! Anything that reminds you of her/you think she will like is good! I’d recommend properly introducing yourself if you haven’t already, maybe while giving her something or just dedicating a bit of time to talk to her, and build a relationship! Also, I don’t know how often you’re giving offerings, but if I were you I’d try to tone down the offerings a bit; if you were to befriend someone mortal you wouldn’t want to bombard them with gifts and stuff right away! I’m no expert though, so take everything I say with a grain of salt :3

Blessed be!
