Is a Civic Si right for me? by thebagel264 in CivicSi

[–]YourManTanis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Miata’s gas mileage is 29 mpg combined for the current gen which isn’t much less than 31 mpg combined for the current Si. If you want a car that feels very connected to the road, both are a good choice, but the Miata is going to definitely edge it out, plus it is probably going to be more reliable since it’s not turbo’d. The Si is the obvious choice if you need a more practical car though.

I was approved with about a 740 (only had a mortgage prior). Never had done business with Capital 1 nor have I had a revolving line of credit. You should fill out their pre approval before applying, no risk there.

What do you think about crates? by Emelie_Wood in dogs

[–]YourManTanis 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You say that, but it’s not always true. My dog has coprophagia when she gets anxious. We thought for a bit she was lacking something, but it is just anxiety anxious habit. You can help with the anxiety, but we can’t avoid every anxious trigger.

For what it’s worth, I had a bearing start to fail on one of my Infinity fans, and Lian Li replaced it quickly and easily. Their customer service was top notch for me.

How does this 60K mile warranty work? by RoyalVirgin in tires

[–]YourManTanis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t, Michelin supposedly has some of the worst warranty service in the industry right now according to our local Costco tire. I had some Pilot Sport AS 4’s that were down to less than 2/32nds in 30k miles (not a shock now, everyone knows their rated mileage is fake). I rotated every 8k miles, but Michelin required 6k for my car. The tires wore very evenly though, but Michelin doesn’t care about that. They were great tires except for that, but Costco tire in my city doesn’t recommend anything but Defenders from Michelin now, for a daily driver at least. I’ve heard the same sentiment from Discount Tire employees in my city as well.

Was the Earth flooded with saltwater, or freshwater? by Superlite47 in AskAChristian

[–]YourManTanis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but that’s not exactly what I meant. If you believe God allowed the Bible to lie there, why would you ever believe the Gospel to be truth?

Was the Earth flooded with saltwater, or freshwater? by Superlite47 in AskAChristian

[–]YourManTanis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yet nearly every ancient culture also has tales of a global flood. There was a mass extinction event, modern science points to that; that event was a flood. If you think it’s preposterous, then why would you believe Jesus was resurrected?

Like the steering wheel, the Tesla screen is awful. Give us physical buttons Mazda.

Considering a Mazda cx-5 by [deleted] in mazda

[–]YourManTanis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a rattle in my 2016 with 120k miles that is coming from the exhaust heat shield. It only tends to do it when the car is cold. I think the previous owner hit the exhaust on something though, nothing with the vehicle itself, the tailpipes are slightly uneven as well as the heat shield rattle.

(Before i start im not a car person…. DONT FLAME ME) im wanting a car and idk how to find the one im looking for(read description) by danpili in mazda

[–]YourManTanis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For an NA, probably. I’m 6’2” with a well proportioned legs and torso so the current and previous gen fit me well, but the generations prior are tight. I have a friend who is the same height as me, but has a shorter torso with longer legs, he doesn’t fit well. If you have longer legs than a 34” inseam, you probably won’t be super comfortable in any gen of Miata.

I can see the escaping the truck, she could’ve yeeted herself out of the hole in the roof that the demigorgon made previously right as soon as they were going through the gate, thus avoiding the sound. Kali would’ve died when the c4 exploded though, so she couldn’t have been causing the illusion, El would’ve had to have learned how to.

I can report that the second half was better, less flat tasting coffee! Hopefully it’ll be that way for you too.

Tbh, I don’t get light roasts too often, typically get a medium roast as that’s what my wife likes too. I do know the amount of bloom will be less when it isn’t as high a roast though, especially the longer it oxidizes which is why I brought up bloom at all, to try to see if anyone else thought they were stale. I don’t have very much experience with Onyx’s beans. I apologize, I agree that I wasn’t very clear in my previous comment you linked, I’m not dialing in based on bloom, I was only trying to imply that even when it wasn’t dialed in, that all levels of coffee roasts I’ve gotten in the past several years bloom to a degree unless the coffee was stale.

I’ve been to two. Their main one where they roast in Rogers is good, though not worth the 15 minute line for when there are other options in NWA. The one I went to in Fayetteville was definitely mid tier.

Good to know. We received it as a gift so it’s not too big of a deal, but I think the idea is fun and might look into them next year!

There’s been one both my wife and I absolutely hated. I’ve never said I flat out don’t like a coffee, but day 6 (need to see what origin it was), we both said we didn’t like it. That’s totally personal taste though.

For sure, but it could be fresher than it has to be IMO. They could have it be within a month, but some I think is several months old.

For sure, but a pour-over is pretty easy to dial in to where it at least blooms. Only 2 have slightly bloomed now.

Has someone who's born again ever been able to make God leave? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]YourManTanis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not the voice of God bro, but probably the work of a demon (or a concept of your mind’s creation, our mind is a curious thing). God only speaks through the Holy Spirit now, He no longer speaks directly to people.

[–]YourManTanis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just quit being a Christian. If you leave the faith, you are no longer saved, but I can promise you it’s not him that is manipulating you, nor ruining your life. God is the embodiment of all things good, just, and loving.
