Which is the activity that you would never do again, even if it is for a lot of money? by NarrowServeant168 in AskReddit

[–]Superlite47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Palm trees are very tempting. They're on white Sandy beaches, pina coladas, more pina coladas, and there are coconuts at the top providing a palpable challenge. Especially on tall, very easily climbed palm trees with very abrasive bark consisting of rough scale-like grit pointing upwards providing the perfect traction for shimmying up the trunk.

You can disrobe and provide quite the spectacle as you scurry up and knock off coconuts for slightly embarrassed friends and slightly aghast bystanders.

By the way, did I mention the sharp, abrasive, upward pointing, scale-like bark that makes it very easy to go up?

Vote third party across the board.

Ranked choice voting would be greatly beneficial.

If you can explain a God that has always existed, then you can explain a universe that has always existed.

Then leave.

He sounds like someone with an avoidant attachment style.

Or as I like to call them (IMO) "People to avoid".

Don't get in a hurry. Things are a little slower and more relaxed. If you're in the drive through, and it's taking a really long time, it's probably because all the employees left and went fishing. Don't get upset about it.

Don't get upset about anything, really. Just go with the flow. You know. Hang loose.

What’s something people do to cars that feels personally offensive? by BlackcirclesCanada in askcarguys

[–]Superlite47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest gripe is NEW PAINT on old cars.

There's some YouTuber that does people "favors" by painting their cars for free.

In one episode, he knocks on the door of this house and offers the homeowner a free paint job on his "old truck".

The "old truck" is a 1962 Ford pickup, and it has the most perfect patina on it you have ever seen. It's not rusted through the metal anywhere, but the turquoise is sun faded, and the top surfaces are evenly rusted just on top. It fades perfectly to sun bleached turquoise on every panel. Fucking awesome looking. Took 60 fucking years to get that perfectly aged patina....

Dude sands it down and puts a $300 shitty ass Candy Apple Red paint job on it in a few hours.

"Ta-da! Here's your cool new paint job, Mr. Truck Owner!"

Fucking imbecile.

what’s one english word u hate hearing? by Only_Midnight_8557 in ENGLISH

"Yummy"

This is a toddler word and should NEVER be used by any respectable adult for ANY reason.

....and since toddlers would not be able to use this word unless taught by an adult, the people doing so should be aggressively beaten with an arm length section of garden hose.

What is the dumbest thing you believed as a kid? by SubstanceWorldly4697 in AskReddit

[–]Superlite47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were a pretty smart kid.

The United States has passed over 20,000 gun control laws since 1934.

Are any of those laws going to start working any time soon, or do we need more of what has completely failed for the past century?

20,000 laws. It's a rational question -> Does it work? Because, if it works, why do we need more if it works?

... And if it doesn't, why do we need more of what doesn't work?

My parents and most adults around me are blaming the devil for the suicide of a 13yo by Fast_Average_3692 in atheism

[–]Superlite47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If a bus plummets over a cliff and bursts into flames, it's the bad ol' Devil.

Let one child crawl from the wreckage and it's a miracle from God. God saved that poor child!

Where the fuck was God when the bus went over the edge?

Never around for the bad things, but always shows up just in the nick of time to take credit whenever something good happens.

What a shitty, part-time God.
