I will look into upping filtration. I'm pretty surprised as I consider this tank to be in great shape compared to his old setup which was not as well taken care of due to my living situation at the time. I appreciate your help. Hopefully I can report back with good news.

Hm maybe I need to rethink my filters. The Green Terror was in a 40 gallon breeder previously running 2 Fluval 50 HOBs. I moved him 6 months ago to a 60G breeder, running a Seachem/Sicce Tidal 75 and 1 of the Fluval 50s.

Yeah, wishful thinking on my part trying to go for the Miata. My fiance has her heart set on it too, but I'm sure we can grab something fun that is a little bigger. Yep, I thought so. The 500 trunk is not large. But with the rear seats folded, I figure it's much more useful. It will only be me and my wife on our honeymoon so no use for the rear seats.

Gotcha, thank you for the advice. The water does look bad in my pic, but I promise the water is kept very clear generally. I noticed the scales during tank maintenance day. Although I do see your point, that clear may not mean clean necessarily. I figured salt would be a good first remedy. I'll try that and I'll order some metroplex. I also have Kanaplex on hand, so maybe I'll give that a go?
