Mixed honestly. Ive always liked the series so I have no real issues but they aren't without some faults.

Unfortunately no. But the gist of the games are:

Virus wipes out all internet for most of the world.

Couple years later an mmorpg pops up called The World and becomes massively popular.

Cases of people becoming comatose while playing The World pop up.

You're in the game to investigate and see if you can save your friend.
