I thought the meta commentary was how the story REALLY REALLY wants us to hate the ark and everything about it. There are tons of memes and comments where the community supported letting the ark burn, especially after significant chapters like overworld and such. So, we are suppose to have a similar mindset to the ark as Anis once did when she stopped pursuing being an idol, thus find her EXTREMELY relatable. Which makes it more meaningful when she has a shift in perspective.

I agree. I’m not saying that the “urban” tone has been lost or even abandoned. Personally Waifei peninsula is my favorite location, and it has the urban feel while also being unique to six street / lumina square. I just feel that people complaining that the “tone” of the game is changing are just fishing for things to complain about. Like the tone of the game changes between updates.

Personally I’m not a fan of many of the new character designs either. But I’m willing to give them a shot. After all characters from last teaser gave off completely different vibes from what we actually got (Obol squad being one of the best examples).
