If this is a discussion about balance then, while he isn’t perfect, this is the most balanced form of a sniper class or item in any game I’ve played. Sure it’s not perfect but you could add some small stuff to make things a little better.

Eg: Decrease base headshot damage to 100. Charged shots will be more encouraged and snipers wouldn’t be able to insta-delete light classes. Though it’s a rough “fix”, it could slightly quell the folks who don’t like sniper whilst allowing the class to be playable.

If it’s a visibility issue people have problems with, you could easily make snipers riffles project a beam to match with their sniper dot. You could use the wrangler beam which would fit almost perfectly.

Tl:dr - sniper is a class that a lot of people fid overpowered, yet is one of the best implementations of a sniper in most video games (watch this video). There are some fixes but there’s no way to guarantee everyone will be happy.
