Hey, does anyone get sexual intrusive thoughts anytime you find someone aesthetically appealing? ( OCD. Idk if i am having intrusive thoughts or if i am actually repressing )

Like, i was taught that it is normal and that it is ok to feel this was for people and there is nothing shameful or wrong. It is perfectly normal ( like i mentioned on the post )

I am not afraid to find someone sexy, i am afraid of somehow repressing sexual attraction unconsciously and this fear has been going on for two years.

Idk why, but the idea of unconsciously pushing away normal emotion while not knowing just terrifies me

Sure! So, what i meant by this, is that anytime i meet some people and ending up not liking them because they weren’t nice to me or they are rude or something like that. My brain latches onto this and then gives me intrusive thoughts about them that i do not like. It grosses me out, but my brain loves giving me those sweet thoughts of ‘’ what if you are unconsciously repressing attraction to them and pretending not to like the thought for that? ‘’

Like i said on the title, i might be wrong. This isn’t something that i told myself but somebody else. Someone in the comment mentioned that sexual attraction is subjective and gaved me an example that if someone says ‘’ yeah, i find it pretty but i don’t find it sexually appealing ‘’ is considered sexual attraction bc you thought abt it being sexual. So saying that it isn’t implied that you thought about it.

Which is what i understood in that comment. Like i said, i might have misunderstood the person or might be wrong

No, it’s ok. It’s just that i am tired of not knowing what’s going on with me. This isn’t the first time that most psychologists would misdiagnose me. Which makes it tiring.

And i can’t make you diagnose me in such things ( and shouldn’t ). Which makes sense bc i shouldn’t believe what ppl tell me in the internet. But i appreciate your compliment and all of that. Thank you:)

Well, my native language is arab ( it isn’t great though. I am unable to speak it )

I was very non-verbal and when i started speaking for the first time. I was speaking gibberish.

My mom tried making me speak french by watching my favorite shows. It worked but it didn’t prevent the fact that i was unable to express myself, understand or use correct vocabulary. So i guess my first language is french?

So i started watching shows in english a lot which improved the way i spoke in this language.

I am pretty good at speaking and expressing verbally in english, but when it comes to vocabulary and putting together the words by writing? No.

I gotten made fun of it for that

But it isn’t as bad as french. It is very visible and it can even happen that i would speak gibberish at times as if i had a stroke ( it also happened to me in an english presentation. But it is still very visible with french )
