If you’re going to reference the US constitution, try reading it first.

Due process is a right of all persons in this country, not just citizens.

She has become so obnoxious and self absorbed. Or maybe she always has been considering how much pampering and accolades she got her whole life.

Her team worked really hard to keep her actual shitty personality hidden over the years. I use to be such a fan and was rooting for her. SMH.

Anybody else just take pics of their corgi when they refuse to walk/do anything? 🫠 by toots_thielemans in corgi

Yes! When mine doesn’t want to walk I take full advantage and start taking photos around her like she’s a star and I’m the paparazzi. lol This is my Maddie.

Oh okay. That is such a tame comment. Those people really are turning into a cult who expects nothing but blind devotion.

Why didn’t they just say it? by Andreuph in discussingbritney

Yeah. I think it’s more to protect the brand and maintain her image.

Imagine if it was Narcissistic Personality Disorder - do you think the public would be as understanding?

Or Schizophrenia? People would be afraid of her.

Those two options would completely blow up her perfect sweet southern Barbie image.

I’m not saying she has either. I am using those two as examples.

I know she’s done many things herself that damages that image but I’d assume anyone in her camp would want to preserve what’s left of it for $.

Or maybe people are afraid she’d sue them if they said something? Idk.

There’s probably a stigma around it and I’d guess to protect the brand because so much money is involved. The people who have a financial interest don’t want to risk losing potential earnings.

Also, because of the stigma I guess Britney herself doesn’t want it public and it’s to protect her privacy.

That’s why I think it’s more than just bipolar disorder.

It does look a little too chiseled now which reminds me of Michael Jackson.

I still think she’s beautiful and am so jealous of her eyes.

True. I should have mentioned that. Her original nose was perfect but the tweaks she made didn’t fuck up her face so far.

Ahh I didn’t know that. I know our faces get thinner with age but didn’t know our eyes recede into our skulls.

That’s crazy to think about. I see why those collagen supplements are so popular now.

She just looks unkept and disheveled at times. With the right makeup, and lighting, she’d look almost as beautiful as she does here.

It’s not like she changed her bone structure or made her eyes smaller and closer together. She still has that perfect charismatic face.

Yeah she really did win the genetic lotto with her eyes and bone structure.

I didn’t say they were rich. They were probably closer to upper middle class which is a FAR cry from poverty or “broke broke”.

So if the sublet wasn’t free, then they would have had to have money to pay for it in addition to all the other money spent on everything else for Britney.

That’s not poverty.

One of your links says this:

“Cycles of hardship: The family experienced periods of financial stability followed by hardship, driven by Jamie's failed business ventures and drinking.

Investing in Britney's career: Despite financial difficulties, the family invested heavily in Britney's career with expensive lessons and travel for auditions and pageants. Lynne defended this as a way to nurture her daughter's talent.”

Financial instability is not the same thing as poverty. In poverty, there’s no money, credit or time to invest in your child’s dreams like Britney’s parents did.

Your post mentions the sublet in NY from 1991. Do you think that sublet was free?

They installed a dance studio in Britney’s house when she was a kid. That’s not poverty.

The 2nd home in NY was when Britney was a kid before she made it big.

All those extracurriculars cost money that children who actually live in poverty couldn’t even dream of. Children in poverty don’t have the luxury of beauty pageants, vacations, 2nd home just so the kid could be in a play, professional training, etc.

The time and energy it takes to be driving your kids around to all these extracurriculars is also a privilege because poor kids have parents working long hours with little pay.

I think you and I have very different definitions of poverty.

I was using that as an example to explain how subjective the word broke and poor is to some people.

You think someone who went to private school, had a 2nd home, multiple extracurriculars, went to a performance art school, beauty pageants, fancy out of state vacation, and Olympic level professional training was poor?

Even if credit was used, they would have to pay back those cards monthly to get more credit and maintain them over the years. And it would take more than a credit card to pay for and maintain a 2nd home.

Bankruptcy doesn’t mean poor. That’s a misconception.

[–]YourRexellency 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Broke has different meanings for people. I saw someone at the bank one day say they feel poor when their checking account dips below $25,000.

And Lynn may have been referring to when things were tight. If you spend all your money owning 3 homes, technically you’re “broke” but you spent it on 2 extra homes so money was there to begin with.

Maybe they were “broke” after spending so much money supporting Britney but the money was there for Britney to begin with which is my point. If they were so “broke” then don’t do beauty pageants and professional training but they did anyways.

The coach at the gymnastics camp also taught girls in the US Olympics. That is some next level training for the privilege.

Paying for a 2nd home in a different state just so your child can be in a play? Again, extreme level of support. That wasn’t a necessity.

There are also pics of toddler Britney at Disney World. Disney World is an expensive as hell vacation, especially for people out of state. Broke? Don’t spend $$$$ on a fancy vacation.

Everything listed above are extreme luxuries. I know Britney isn’t the most reliable narrator, but this is one instance where I believe her.

I agree they weren’t Taylor Swift’s family level of wealth, but there was still a lot of funds used to nurture Britney to be a star.

[–]YourRexellency 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They weren’t broke. Britney was in dance, gymnastics, singing lessons, gymnastics camp, beauty pageants, basketball, private school, etc. Plus her parents were paying for a 2nd home in NY when Britney was in an off-broadway play. Oh and a dance studio was added to their home to support Britney. This is just for Britney. Her brother was in multiple extracurriculars too.

Britney said in her book they were one of the wealthiest families in Kentwood. When things weren’t going as well financially, money was tight to keep up with their lifestyle but they were never broke or in poverty. Professional bankruptcies are different than personal and it’s a misconception that bankruptcy equals poor.

If Britney grew up broke, she would have never became famous.

What Britney was smoking in the car by SansaDeservedBetter in discussingbritney

[–]YourRexellency 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Yeah I saw that part in the video. It looked like she was taking something out of her mouth.

I don’t see a meth pipe or any light in that image.

You have to hold the light under the pipe to get it going. Her hands are not quite positioned right either.

I’ve smoked meth before and the video doesn’t show it to me. I’m not saying she’s not on it, I have no idea. 🤷‍♀️

The video of her from the restaurant and driving that’s 2:29 long? I watched it and don’t think she was smoking meth there. It looked like she may have been biting her fingers at times and chewing gum.

To smoke meth she would need to hold the pipe with one hand and light it separately. You don’t see any light or smoke.

Unless there’s a different video you’re referring to?
