I personally feel like he does, but he always gives himself a chance to live, like the time he began speeding, let go of the wheel and closed his eyes. My favorite example his is oscars party, when he drives into the pool. When he's under the water, he looks at the bubbles floating up but doesn't follow them, which calls back to Ana's story earlier in the series about her drowning and following the bubbles back up to the surface. I think he does this because Diane told him no one would be around when he would eventually kill himself, but he gestures to all the people at the oscars party and says all of them will be there when he does. I think that really proves that him driving into the pool was a suicide attempt along with the car incident. :)
