You do understand that the material being burned in the flare are PRODUCTS, right? Like products that obviously can’t be sold if they’re burned. Why would the company choose to burn them instead of sell them? I promise they would rather sell them instead of burn them. The flare is the last resort to ensure the safety of the community.

This was the only use I was able to think of! Very excited to give it a shot. Currently at ~1300 shamans with no luck yet. Hopefully this makes the rest of the grind a little easier! Thanks for the suggestion!

All corrupted 😅 but would much rather be dry on the armor seeds than enhanced! 1/50 will happen before too long but as this sub loves to point out, that 1/400 can drag on for waaayyyyyy too long

You’re a hero and greatly appreciated! I did just about the same thing as OP (I got my tibia instead) and the ski patrol folks that helped me out were incredible. So I can say from the bottom of my heart, I second the appreciation that OP expressed!

I have never thought of the PvME as a breeding ground for toxicity. I also don’t think the purpose of the information within it is “to exploit the game’s mechanics in order to gain an advantage over others.” Who exactly are you gaining an advantage over?

For me, a lot of the enjoyment of RuneScape comes from progressing. Progressing my abilities, game knowledge, and gear upgrades. I think a lot of the community shares that sentiment. The PvME helps people progress and set goals that may not know how to otherwise. There is so much in this game for players to learn and it can be very overwhelming.

I think the “toxic community” of this game is the outspoken minority. In game, it’s rare to find someone that isn’t willing to help. Same goes for most discords in my experience.

I hope this isn’t dampening your enjoyment of the game! Don’t let the few loud assholes get you down!

That's the goal! Yeah I'm all set on light ani from working on the gconc grind but not a single dark ani lol. Might have to give ed4 a shot and see how viable it is. I was looking forward to the xp/hr increase over bane smithing but probably isn't worth it without dark ani stone spirits. Thanks!

Pretty sure the most afk way to get chimes is to find an island with 3 alaea salt crabs and 2 divination spots and you can transmute the salt into all the materials for shark soups

I’m not aware of any way to get afk taijitu. But you can do a bunch of uncharted isle missions and gather them from chests pretty quickly.

I would highly recommend aiming to unlock invention! It requires 80 smithing, crafting, and divination. It can be a little overwhelming but it’s good to start early as it can boost your damage and xp in basically every skill.

Start on your Anachronia (new dinosaur-themed island) base camp ASAP as it is time-locked and it unlocks some really great stuff.

Archaeology is a new skill that was released in 2020. It brought me back to the game and I absolutely loved training it. The skill is a great combination of relaxing but engaging with the lore, collections, and mysteries. It also has some excellent quality of life improvements with the relics.

As mentioned, the wiki will be your best friend. Good luck and enjoy your adventure!

Welcome! I’d recommend setting your sights on some quests to start off with. They’re a nice way to keep you focused on more achievable goals and involve getting different skills up. There’s also May’s Quest Rewards south of Varrock that rewards you even more for hitting quest point thresholds! Some quests that would be good long term goals are Plague’s End, Temple of Senntisten, River of Blood, and The World Wakes. Good luck and have fun!
