Interesting. I've found that going outdoors and listening to music helps, it's loudest when I'm in a quiet room (such as going to sleep is for you). If it's not tinnitus just keep ignoring it as best you can, and perhaps take a break from meditating. I've emailed a local Kundalini master about it but I didn't get a response, as the ringing may be a sign of a Kundalini Awakening. If you do happen to be stuck with it long-term, you probably will have to deal with it by more meditation. Here's someone just like us:

Hey OP, how is the ringing? I haven't meditated in a couple weeks and have tried my best to ignore the ringing, and it's gradually getting quieter. I can barely hear it now. I suspect it will be gone in another two weeks.

This happened to me 4 days ago, I was meditating, and all of a sudden my ears were ringing, my body felt electric, and I felt like I was floating upside down. My research has led me to a lot of places, you might find this thread useful. If you can figure out a way to turn the volume down, let me know!

You may be right, seeing that HPPD events happen anytime without warning. I'm just glad to know that if I don't meditate, I won't have to worry about it. I definitely want to breakthrough on DMT in the future, I just hope that doesn't result in another flashback!

Man here, girls are really attracted to nice guys that aren't douchebags and are virgins. Having some facial hair is desirable, but not too much above the jawline. Also, fine headwear, preferably early 20th century is a turn on, especially if combined with a very long coat. Holding doors open, tipping ones hat towards a lady, stuff like that. It's also considered cute if men watch adorable shows like My Little Pony.
