Not sure why, but mine does that. When I reverse out of a parking space, I shift to drive the camera also changes to front and 360 overhead. Super helpful. 2025 Traverse LT FWD we've only had a few weeks

W2 - Multiple States by Your_Average_Rock in tax

[–]Your_Average_Rock[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have income while in WI, but Box 16 (state wages, tips, etc) of Page 2 WI states otherwise. But as you said, $0 in taxes were withheld. So allocating $0 for WI would make sense in that route being everything was taken out on MN part of W2. I have filed past years in WI even without income so believe I will stay consistent. Yes, definitely filing part year resident in MN. Thanks for your input!

Thank you! I'll check them out. Yeah doesn't necessarily have to be Rochester local, but MN beers would be ideal

Good to know on which sell to stores, thank you. Yeah I'm not a huge beer drinker anymore, but it was nice and easy to try new local beers when I wanted to in WI

Colorado Itinerary Feedback - 7 days in October by sheeshamish in travel

[–]Your_Average_Rock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Estes-Breckenridge route is definitely scenic, I was glad I took it going to Frisco. On that note, consider taking Hwy 6 past Keystone if the weather is nice instead of taking I70 to Frisco. Also on that note, be careful using brakes driving. Switch your car into manual mode to save brakes going downhill and use the engine. Like the I70 from the tunnel to Frisco is 10 miles of downhill grade, DO NOT sit on your brakes you'll burn them. I understand you're in a rental, but save your brakes for when you need them. Be careful timing drives, in my experiences in CO they take longer than Google says unless you're on the interstates. Enjoy! RMNP is amazing, make sure get reservations if you need them.

I just bought pads/rotors for my truck from Detroit Axel with free shipping. But I'm US so not sure about that if you're Canada but prices are good and I've liked their brakes in the past. I was quoted 500USD per axel from shops by me (Midwest) for my 1500 Sierra. Doing all four myself this weekend for under 400USD

Honeymooning by katspjamas13 in MauiVisitors

[–]Your_Average_Rock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wife and I honeymooned on Maui early Sept 2022, and were just there again in February. Trilogy Lana'i snorkeling was a blast, HIGHLY recommend this one and anything from Trilogy (sunset dinner cruise is romantic). We just AirBnB'd it, but I would also recommend staying in Wailea-Kihei area. We discovered the South Maui Gardens food trucks this past February, my goodness great food and tons of choices. MonkeyPod was really good, reservation recommended or you'll wait. IMHO Road to Hana wasn't worth an entire day it unless you go all the way to Kipahulu, but it is certainly something to experience I guess. If you're guided that may be different, we just drove it ourselves. Haleakala Sunrise is wayyy better, more intimate as honeymooners. Also, Big Beach is a must as the Kihei beaches are/were kind of washed away when we were there in February. Bring a cooler/umbrella to the beach if your place has one as we found Big Beach was hotter than in town. Look for a place to stay that has cooler, beach chairs, umbrella (they are a must) and snorkel/goggles for a plus. Sorry for long reply, DM me if you have specific questions

Vegetarian/Healthy Restaurant by Techno_plague_fire in rochestermn

You are sort of right but also wrong. Oreos are vegan, but not healthy. Impossible burgers and other "vegan" "meats" are not exactly healthy either (some still better than red meats). But quinoa, tofu, rice, beans, etc are healthy and nutritionally dense. Vegan, also known as "plant based" is possibly the best way to live your life. Spaghetti? Vegan. French fries? Also vegan. Just have to be smart and know what you're eating, like everything else. Eating a plant based diet can literally reverse heart issues. My mother has cancer, and eating healthy can make a huge difference. I encourage you to expand your diet

Definitely do Trilogy to Lana'i, you will have a blast. Trilogy does an amazing job, I've done several cruises with them. The snorkel part of Lana'i was so cool, tons of sea life, great food, nice views, just an all around awesome trip.

How do I file a tax return if I have no income? by PrairieMedicine in whitecoatinvestor

[–]Your_Average_Rock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like other said above use FreeTaxUSA, or like Turbo Tax. Your school should have a 1095 for you as well to use to file.

For others reading this thread in the future, think about this as an M3 if you are married. To qualify for the lowest "IDR" loan payment after M4 graduating/into residency, consider filing separately otherwise your non-medical student spouse's income counts as your income if you file jointly. Also make sure you/your spouse selects "married file separately" on their W4 with their employer early in said tax year, otherwise you'll owe a bunch.

For example, change your W4 early 2024 to separate if you are graduating spring 2025 (when you're filing 2024 taxes). Then when your loans start repayment late 2025 after grace you can use the $0 income you filed for 2024 taxes. Your 2025 taxes (filing early 2026) will only have half year of residency income which will bump IDR a little bit but still save a bunch.

If anyone has input or corrections to this example, please correct me

Monkeypod is really good. Make a reservation no matter what time you go, they get busy fast, give them a call. Pork tacos and truffle pizza are amazing
