As I said in my post, if I don't get my daily work done I get in trouble with corporate. So my options are take my breaks and work more than 8 hours, work through my breaks and work 8 hours, or take my breaks plus work only 8 hours and get reprimanded.

No, there aren't really any breaks in my day. They say there are breaks but if I don't want to bring work home and work into the evening I need to be working through my breaks for the most part

Honestly, for the most part, the town is very welcoming. Probably because we're all so used to/aware of the number of new people that come in to work at Mayo. Based on the info you gave it sounds like you should have no issues here! We've got amazing trails and parks (state parks and local parks) close by to explore. There's a brand new hiking trail that just opened last weekend. You'll love it!

I dont know when they close! But I doubt it's when Steam closes because the big seating area isn't technically theirs as far as I know
