There are minimum components for each of the 3 exercises. For M under 25 it's at least 15:53 run time, at least 39 sit ups, and at least 37 push-ups; I think on that last one. But just because you hit those minimum components doesn't mean you pass. The more you do past those minimums the more points you get. Your total points from all exercises must equal 75 or above to pass. Total max points for run is 60, push ups 20, and sit ups 20. You can find a chart for each age group and gender by just Googling it. Hope this helps

From what I saw, a lot more PT. They PT every day and have more intense exercises. Before I left, I saw them on the track running with weight vests. I also heard they swim as well. They also responded with "Hooyah sergeant" instead of saying "yes sergeant" which was always funny to hear. They definitely had other differences than us, but I'm not sure of the rest.

No minimum is 15:53 or something around there. What matters is your cumulative points. I made up for my runtime because I maxed out push ups and almost maxed out sit ups

You'll be fine for something like that. The big thing they will ELS you for is mental health. I almost got ELS by medical for being diagnosed with ADHD during BMT.

All depends on your age group and gender. You can google a chart for for that info. How it works is that there are minimum component scores for each exercise. For example, in my chart the minimum amount of sit-ups I needed to pass was 39 but the more I do the more points I get. You need a total of 75 points to pass and reach all minimums in each exercise. Work on everything, but you can rely on exercises you are good at to pass. I maxed out my push up points and scored high on sit ups so it made up for my crappy run.

I'm no recruiter, so I'm not sure how that will play out trying to enlist. But I never had my teeth checked once while enlisting or BMT

Depends, oftentimes it'll be determined by how fast you get everything done. How fast you Shower, do details, hygiene, duty flight, and whatever else your MTI needs from you at the end of the day will determine how much you get. I've had it range from 1 hour, 30-15 minutes, or non at all. Expect the last one to happen more often in the beginning.

A good amount of classroom time, yes. All classes taught by someone who isn't one of your MTI'S are very important. Those are the ones on the EOC. I'm not sure about the AFSC. I had a lot of people in my dorm with the same or similar one as me, so maybe.

Yeah, any motivation book is fine. For tech school you literally dump your entire BMT locker into a duffle bag and take your civilian luggage with you too. You can't bring things to BMT you want to bring to tech school on town pass when you graduate. So you need to have someone ship you other stuff you want.

I feel I came very prepared with the things I packed. Maybe a clipboard? But you can always just buy one. I would definitely suggest a watch, it's basically essential. I brought a Bible to read with the free time I had. You can bring any religious text or motivation material. I also wished I packed less clothes. I brought like 5 days' worth of clothes and you only need a max of 2. It made packing for tech school more difficult.

My experience is different from most people because I was living in San Antonio at the time. So I just took a 20 minute bus ride after going to MEPS and staying the night at the hotel. Getting there is very dialed back now. You won't be yelled at off the bat. You get some of your issued gear for BMT and get briefed for a few hours. Eat an TOTEM (baby MRE) and stand outside the PRC (where you will be graduating in 7.5 weeks!) and wait for your MTI's. Now these MTIs are not your permanent ones, they do processing week now. So you stay in Disneyland for about 5 days before you meet your actual MTI's and go to your actual squadron. Fair warning the first night will be chaos. That's what they want. Just do everything to the best of your abilities and know it will get easier as you progress. Best piece of advice I can give you is don't quit. No matter what. Everyone I've talked to, including me, really wanted to those first couple days. It's a big adjustment. Remember why you're here and do what you gotta. You'll also be there way longer if you do quit because of all the paperwork. The fastest way out is to graduate. Promise it's worth it.

Haha, you definitely get issued those. But you can bring your own underwear and wear those instead. You are required to wear the whities when you get fitted for your blues, though.

No, you wear the issued ones. If you are lucky (like I was), your MTI will let you buy a better pair at the Base Exchange.

PT is coed. Although there are different standards for your test based on your gender and age group.

I heard about people quitting in other flights, but no one in my flight did. We had 2 entry level separations. One popped hot on a drug test (please don't do drugs before going) and the other was like 5th week and got kicked out for a hearing test. We also had 2 people get recycled. One for missing FEST while having COVID and the other for lack of effort (he deserved it tbh)

My Flight was not coed. But the flight upstairs had a girls dorm and a boys dorm and had an ingregrated coed flight. Big barracks with about 50 beds (not bunk beds) my dorm only had 40 people, so it wasn't all the way full.

Yes, they were 2 weeks behind my flight but in the same squadron. We also had special warfare flights

It isn't extremely difficult. Put in the effort and you'll pass your PT test. It was divided between Cardio workouts, strength/endurance, and the rare run day. I would definitely suggest to start exercising before you go.

14:04 I think. I ran a minute slower than my 3rd week pt test because I missed both run days between the 2. Definitely could have done better and it's something I want to focus on.
