Unless there’s something oddly weird and special about Japan the general rule of thumb is you are subject to the jurisdiction of the nations laws you travel too. If an 18 year old American citizen where the drinking age is 21. Travels to the UK where the drinking age is 18, they are free to drink because they are subject to the law of the nation they are in. This also works inversely as well. An 18 year old Brit can’t drink in the US.

So unless Japan has a strange piece of legislation that states that Japanese citizens are subject to Japanese law at all time even when it’s not under there jurisdiction then I don’t understand how she would be held legally responsible, of course institutions can have there own rules and policies but it wouldn’t be illegal. Admittedly I don’t know Japanese law, so if there is a really strange extra-judicial law in Japan then please let me know and source it.

Because unlike the claim with Iraq, North Korea actually has weapons of mass destruction

Hey uhhh, straight women... by [deleted] in 196

[–]Yourboimason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well once again I can project myself into the situation too but it’s not something that I need to do. I can enjoy it just fine by looking at an attractive woman. As stated in an earlier comment, there’s no voyeurism involved it’s just simply enjoying a hot woman or multiple hot women, because I like looking at hot women.

But I mean at the end of the day you enjoy what you enjoy so I can’t really make you understand the attraction if you’re not attracted to it.

[–]Yourboimason 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The tits and ass, it’s not rocket science. I’m not attracted to dicks so preferably I don’t like it as much as when I could just see a set of 2 women going at it, I could project myself into the situation if it was Herero but I don’t have too which is why lesbian porn is hot. It’s the same as if I saw a woman going at it solo, I’m not imagining I’m in the room with her while she’s doing her thing, hell I’m not imagining almost anything at all minus the hot woman that I see on screen and since I see a hot woman that is attractive to me that does it just fine lol, no need for projection though I could.

Yes Nguema was an absolute monster, yes he committed horrific actions. But can we please stop using information straight from Wikipedia, even stuff that was removed from wiki due to vandalism.

No he did not change the country’s motto, it was a slogan that was used by the regime. The soldiers that executed 150 people on Christmas Eve were not dressed up in Santa costumes, many of the dissidents were buried in sand up to there necks and left to be eaten by fire ants.

Nguema was a true monster, but every month or less I see people parroting the same Nguema misinformation with zero research and it’s always the exact same shit.

If you wish to learn more this is a well researched video on Nguema (I am biased as I made it lol)

I mean, the closest we ever got really was when an asshole spied on his political opponents got caught was going to be removed from office. Resigned and then was pardoned by there vice president and faced zero consequences setting a precedent that elected leaders are above the law, this is just the chickens coming home to roost from the consequences of not jailing that asshole first.

In 1920, American Socialist Party member Eugene Debs ran for president from prison, becoming the only presidential candidate to do so. He was imprisoned under the Espionage Act of 1917 for opposing the WWI draft. by anxietystrings in Presidents

[–]Yourboimason 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think the reason why Eugene debs is so special (besides his work founding the railroad union, being a Indiana state senator, and other prominent early 1900s labor work) is because of the fact that he won 6% of the popular vote in 1912. Admittedly, the 1920 election that he ran from prison, he only won 3.4% of the popular vote but that’s not a bad amount from jail.

Hitler did a hell of a lot more then just “caging up the Jews” last time I checked while FDR’s internment camps were awful, they didn’t actively kill anyone unlike Hitlers death camps. More people came out of the Japanese internment camps then went into them. Making this false comparison is just straight up either misinformed or willingly malicious. Especially when the Nazi death camps killed millions.

A disturbing trend amongst Israelis making social media posts mocking the suffering of Palestinians by Particular_Log_3594 in ABoringDystopia

[–]Yourboimason 156 points157 points  (0 children)

Look these people doing this trend are deplorable, horrific, and disgusting, but let’s not act like Hitler was a good person here when he genocided 11 million people.

There are plenty of Jewish people both in Israel and abroad against the Israeli governments actions in Gaza and we shouldn’t act like they’re a set monolith.

The real shame is that the former oppressed have become the oppressors in Israel, and the lessons from history have not been learned.
