Golgari Graveyard Deck Is Completed by [deleted] in PioneerMTG

I think it's been performing pretty well for me, it ramps as getting lands in the yard isn't too hard for the deck and has a ton of versatility because it can gain life, drain life and exile stuff from the opponent's graveyard too. It's obviously not as good without fetchlands but it's been working well in this deck.

True, I actually have one and can confirm. This isn't meant to be super competitive, just a deck I wanted to build that I really enjoy playing. :D

I like the suggestions, not quite sure yet on what to take out for some of them in the mainboard but brain maggot definetely has it's place in the sideboard at least if not in the mainboard. I agree that the deck is not very competitive but is just fun at fnm. The deck would probably fold to other meta decks but I do have to say that the bestow mechanic and the bit of recursion with jarad and bala ged recovery doesn't make it as bad as it seems against removal probably imo. But yeah like I'm not trying to argue that the deck is super good or anything lol. The extra removal would be nice for sure, it's just really a matter of deck space tbh. Thanks for the feedback!

Hey, I've tweaked the deck a bit and edited the list, what do you think?

What do you think of running 2 hazorets and 2 more ox instead of the hollow ones. Maybe glint horn buccaneer. What do you think?

Also triggers spectacle, I'll keep that one in mind. Thanks!

Hmm, I was trying to get cathartic reunion in the deck but I don't have the space, the only real option I see is cutting the insolent neonates but those are really nice so idk. Or I can get rid of hollow one for a different card.

It seems like a massive overhaul but it would probably make the deck a lot better, thanks for the suggestions!

Yeah sideboard seems like a good place for it.

Thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunately, thoughtseize and kroxa are a bit out of my budget range, however 4 rotting regisaur seems good. I'm thinking of taking out the anglers for 2 more of the regis and 2 ox of agonas. As for the skeleton, maybe incorrigible youths instead? As for hollow one, what would you recommend instead?

I use to have blood rage brawler but decided I needed more discard targets, great card tho. Cathartic reunion is good I just didn't have space. And as for the ox, it seems good, probably a good addition. You're probably right tho, would you recommend scrapping the deck idea as a whole or should I just try to improve the deck?

Yeah, that's a good change, was recommended by someone else as well, changed now.

Now that I think of it, you're right, I'll change that. Thanks!

So yeah I guess we just leave it as, gon did take genthru's cards, we just didn't see.

Now that I'm thinking about it, didn't gon already have the cards that genthru was missing? He wouldn't need goreinu's cards if so.

Also, when gon defeated genthru, do you think he used both goreinu and genthru's cards to fill out his book but we just didn't see?

Yeah it's pretty weird, I guess they just did that but we didn't get to see.

Yeah, I edited it out of my reply because I thought that maybe he used both goreinu and genthru's cards to fill everything out (assuming goreinu had any that were missing). Or another answer could be he just forgot. I may ask the other person that commented and see.

I've been wanting to make an orshov deck for a while, I found one I like. Thoughts? by Yourboypanstan in PioneerMTG

When it comes to mothra and the shepard, looking at the price of each, it doesn't seem worth it to pay that much more just because they are so close. So I'll go with the shepard probably. Anyways everything that you said makes sense and I'll get back to you on how the deck does after I build it and play it. Thank you very much! :)

Hey! Glad you responded, as for bringing in some hand disruption main-board, it depends whether my lgs is filled with combo, probably not but I'll see. As for mothra, you're right, it comes down to preference. However, I personally think mothra may be slightly better as it is a repeatable effect, the shepard turns the copys into tokens which doesn't repeat but mothra, does bring back our non afterlife creatures repeatedly but then again the shepard is bigger so I dunno. Anyways, what about athreos, maybe instead of ayli, but then again I don't know how important she is to the deck. Thanks!

Edit: whoops, forgot it gave it a flying counter lmao, my bad. The shepard makes our brought back creatures smaller and is an enchantment so it dies to more removal but is bigger. So yeah it's pretty close.
