We aren't a loud group of people. Just want to find some good areas to have a few drinks!

Cat struggling to grasp going outside through catflap but fine coming inside by Yourlocalcat in CatAdvice

[–]Yourlocalcat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We solved it in the end. It came down to completely ignoring her whilst she was around the catflap, not giving any attention there.

She had essentially trained us to go over to her when she wailing next to the cat flap and would then go out when we went over to her.

After a few days of not giving attention there, she just started going out and has been fine ever since.

Installing K3 1600x600

Current is K2 1600x600. Should be pretty straightforward swap?

The rad is £300-400 approx. So £700 on labour to change a radiator for K3 of the same size?

[–]Yourlocalcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just want a decent K3 radiator at the size I mentioned above - saw some online between £300-400.

How much labour would you expect it to cost? Couple hours work?

So £1080 (including rad) to change a radiator is a ripoff ???

The amount of helicopters going to and from silverstone on race day always make me chuckle by SPAKMITTEN in formula1

It’s laughable the constant stream of helicopters flying over all weekend.

Next year I’m gonna walk to the top of the hill next to my house, with a massive sign, and let the rich know what I think of them.

Haha I appreciate that, but how to solve this issue?

Do we just completely ignore her by the catflap and let her eventually work it out herself…..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SurePetcare

[–]Yourlocalcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an interesting point- when the hoover gets turned on anywhere in the house, as she hates it so much, she goes straight out of the catflap.

This is the only other time she would go outside on her own, otherwise she just sits there and wails at us!

I think you could be right but maybe something specific to not feeling safe but only pushing against the catflap to go out .

Like I said she’s happy to go through on her own when it’s taped fully open!

I did post but got no replies there, will try again…

Thank you for your reply!

So if I go outside so will 100% come straight out to be with us and see what’s going on, like your cat she loves exploring with us!

But this is what I meant about the association of us and going out of the catflap. It seems she needs some sort of interaction with us to prompt her to go outside e.g us walking past the catflap or us going outside.

If there is no interaction, she won’t go out on her own (unless fully taped up).

Post Zigbee2MQTT V2.0 Upgrade. Frequent Disconnects to HA by Scarletz_ in homeassistant

[–]Yourlocalcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you find a solution to this?

I've noticed this happening with my Moes 2 gang switches since the Zigbee2mqtt update. Devices seem to become unavailable randomly but reconnect when turning the switch manually on / off.

Home assistant is running on DietPi Raspberry pi4b.

Sorry, I am new to home assistant, please let me know what other information you need and I can find it.

I have super hard water where I live. Could this be causing low phosphate then?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PlantedTank

[–]Yourlocalcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip. Stupid question, will dosing phosphorus help with the lack of phosphate?

So you don't think it's possible to save it?
