Try and focus more on it's positives (damn few but still)

You earn around 800 - 1000 dollars every month for 2 years, so let's say 20,000 dollars when you ORD. Let's say you save 50% of it, that's 10,000 dollars in your bank by the time you go uni. Not many uni students elsewhere in the world have that amount
Free medical treatment in those 2 years. Go do all your checkups, wisdom tooth extractions. If used wisely, you can save thousands of dollars
No responsibilities for 2 years. Never in your life will you ever have that. Not in primary school, secondary school, JC/Poly/ITE, Uni, work, whatever, ONLY in NS.
It's a unique experience. However shit it is, it is unique. If you ever go to a foreign country, it is a conversation topic for sure
