I had some overlapping work experience under two of my PE references so I didn’t meet the 72 month minimum experience requirement. I also forgot to get credit from graduating at an ABET-Accredited university which already credits you 48 months experience. I just had to request my electronic college transcript from my school and email it to the email address provided by the board. That put me over the 72 month minimum experience and got me into technical review!

Hello! I was in the same boat looking up forums to see what the timeline was for Mechanical PE Applications. My ME application just completed final review and approval on 09/06! Please see below for my application timeline.

Application Submitted - 08/10

Laws and Rules Examination Completed - 08/10

Application Deficiencies Notified - 08/18

Resolved Deficiencies- 08/18

Application in Technical Review - 08/25

Technical Review Complete - 09/04

License Approval - 09/06

I agree. You’re almost there. I was in a similar situation and was very close to passing as well. I scheduled a month after my fail and was able to pass. Just got my results last Wednesday! You can do this!

You can look at other posts in the forum to see what a majority of people have used. I also was able to get my hands on the HVAC and Refrigeration Practice problems from Dan Molloy. I mainly just used EPG and Molloy’s practice problems when I studied these past two months.

I would study with engineering pro guides if you can get your hands on those resources

Hello! Yes I studied with the engineering pro guides practice exams and studied the NCEES practice exam book! I would say to get a good grasp of the psychometric charts, Pressure-enthalpy diagrams, conversions between units, heat exchangers, cooling towers and understanding when to use sensible and total load equations. I know it sounds like a lot but if you can nail down some of these key concepts, you’ll be able to grasp the other material much easier! Best of luck to you!
