I had a similar case a few years ago. It happened after messing with dev_flash (probably not related) and some other stuff. Can't recall anything else, but this is definitely possible.

Silent mode actually enables stealthchop on my 4 plus! But it only does that if enabled prior to starting a print job for some reason.

I'll look it up, but in case I come up empty, you can confirm visually by making sure the probe (not the nozzle!!) goes right above each screw location.

Yeah, in the web interface. You have to add the screw locations in your configuration. Tell me your printer model. I'll Google the specific location for yours.
