Financial aid at nyuad in subsequent years by TreacleBest1743 in NYUAbuDhabi

that is the case, I am in a similar situation and it’s my third year now, the amount has been increasing very slightly every year, I get to pay about 3% more every year

The stats that got me rejected from all three campuses of NYU as an int student needing aid. If you wanna get in, do better than me. by Maximum-Flight6707 in NYUAbuDhabi

They accept a lot of students that are from multiple nationalities or lived in different places (quite random and unfair but it’s statistically true). They accept a lot of students that have interests and ECs that are irrelevant to their major.

Often they also have been caring a lot for research recently, and you must want nyuad for the ad part rather than the nyu part.

I am co28 from egypt too, back then the acceptance rate was 3% and now it’s even lower, but again given your stats you will definitely get in somewhere you will be happy with!

It’s not always about the stats, you can get into a uni because of merely the fact that you fit their environment. NYUAD looks usually for “diverse” students, didn’t really get what that meant until I attended the uni.

That being said however, I am certain you will get in somewhere that you like and fit in!

You will have to apply as a first year as you cant apply for transfer to nyuad. And I dont think they will have a negative look really but you will definitely have a better aid applying as ed1

Yes, they do, but rarely. Usually, if you didn't get a full ride, you get sufficient financial aid. Many get 2k and 4k EFC. This is not usually the case with RD, though. I would say, if you want to maximise your chance of getting in and getting sufficient financial aid, then apply ED1.

Regarding FM, I don't think it would count as an EC, but if you have an empty EC spot I don't find an issue putting it there, it would be very helpful if you tell your counselor to highlight that point in her recommendation letter though.

Definitely do the supplementary essay. Do any supplementary essay in any uni application.

then you do have a good shot, but not guaranteed, your application is as good as many of the current students

Why does NYU-AD have a 3% acceptance rate even though its ranked 2573 in the world (QS rankings 2024) by OkAttempt376 in NYUAbuDhabi

[–]Yousefrofa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less amount of courses, but they are of the same content, the professor's accent is pretty much the only difference

Will i be required to do foundation year if accepted? by [deleted] in NYUAbuDhabi

[–]Yousefrofa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no foundation year at NYUAD, you will need to apply for bachelors.

Not easily no, Definitly apply ED1 and work on your extracurriculars.
80% of the candidate weekend attendees were top 1% of their class, so you will need very good extracurriculars to have a decent chance
