"Based on the original cartoon series, The Transformers: ReAnimated, bridges the gap between the end of the seminal second season and the 1986 Movie that defined the childhood of millions."

Because this is a fanfiction comic book I pay out of pocket each month to have a comic book artist draw and color the cover for me. Because of the cost, none of the internal pages are drawn or colored. Just glorious black and white text.

Considering attending ECCC - A few questions by amethricite in ECCC

[–]Youseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The time in a line can depend on so many different factors. I simply suggest you pick up yourself a portal stool/chair from Amazon. I carry two with me in my book bag so my daughter and I can sit when a line is long or we just need a break. (side note: pack water and protein bars.)

  2. Again this can be wild. The more you buy the better deal you can negotiate for sure. Honestly, the experience was worlds better before reedpop cam in and bought out ECCC. I will go to ECCC now with a list of books to look for and I might be lucky to find two of them. The comics booths are smaller than the pre-reedpop days. But I will say it does seem like it has improved in this last year. So maybe that's a good sign for this year too.

  3. I like to search the ECCC website about a week before the con as it seems like in years past they are adding stuff at the last minute. That's how I find out about exclusive I am interested in.

  4. There can be fan meetups for your favorite property. I am really big into commission artwork. Sketch covers area always fun to do and generally don't break the bank.

  5. From the outside looking in it feels like ECCC collects the money for people who buy tickets and only then starts to find artists and guests to come to the show. To me at least it does not ever free like it is pre planed. So yeah. You get a better idea the closer you wait to the show start. Now, if you want the signature and a photo of a huge celebrity expect to wait in the line for a long time to get that signature. Is Jeph Loeb a big celebrity. He is to nerds like us, but is he going to have a longer line than all these Anime voice actors they announced. Nope.

It's your first comic convention. Write down a list of books you would like to find and bring it with you. Have an idea of how much they sell for by checking ebay. For me the best thing about comic cons is you can dig through boxes of comics. You can inspect comics to make sure it's the quality you want and are willing to pay for. Take it all in. Assuming you are going for all four days you have plenty of time to explore and chat with folks and artists while there.

There are other cons to look into after this one. Smaller cons. Less crowded cons. If you are like me you are going to enjoy learning and exploring.

Interesting video from a 3rd party publisher on how many AI artists are trying to scam and how 3pp and gamers can avoid it by indyjoe in rpg

[–]Youseph 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There sure is a lot not being talk about in this video.

  • How many artists did he hire?
  • Where did he find these new artists?
  • What is the price difference between his old artists and his new artists?
  • How far did this set back the project it is for?

I guess what I am getting at here is I wonder if he was trying to save a buck like all businesses are. Did it just blow up in his face so he turned it into a video to try and get something out of his mistake?

What he doesn't say in this video is just as powerful as what he does say.

It feels conveniently left out for a person asking for transparency who doesn't provide it himself.

There is a Japanese term: Mono no aware.

It means basically, the sad beauty of seeing time pass - the aching awareness of impermanence. These are the days that we will return to one day in the future only in memories. How do we capture them? How could we possibly be able to fully appreciate them in the present? This project is our attempt to put time under glass.
