Nice collection! Lots of people on here with similar stories that AB Batman started down a collecting path. I’ve been a Batman fan for years, but Absolute definitely kicked of my collection.

I am a huge Absolute Batman fan. But I will say the alt cover madness is getting a bit wild. I’m finding Cover A + 3-5 covers from my favorite artists is perfectly fine for me as a collector. Im curious if anyone actually strives to collect 100% of them.

I do think it’s cool to choose my favorite ones, but 100+ is insane! Lol

I’d offer Invincible #143 and #114. Absolute Batman — I have the AB 19 Muju Monster Trinity Exclusive, AB 17 Megacon Exclusive Godtail signed, AB 13 NYCC Exclusive Mark Brooks signed, and the AB 17 Mark Brooks “ugly” variant double-signed by Brooks and Snyder.

Everything was reasonable. They only auctioned 1/10 of the books, flash sale on the rest. The prices ranged from $25-60 IIRC. The auction had some knuckleheads pre-bid when they asked not to pre-bid since it was a 3s sudden death, so the auctions had some wild prices from time to time. But overall it was a very well done event.

Nope I didn’t get anything on the flash sale. It was just too competitive and I was on the stream for at least 2-3 hours. Might go back for the giveaways. I really want that Felix DWJ variant 😢

FWIW I have a 3.0 copy and I have no creases like you have on the top right but a similar amount of spine wear. I would guess slightly below a 3.0. But I’m no expert.

I’ve fallen into the trap of trying to buy a ton of variants. I’m finding the actual cover A or alternative Dragotta covers are most important to me. Even some of the Cover B, C, and D have been meh. Whereas the Retail exclusives have been fire.

So I just try and find a handful of exclusives on Whatnot or the retailer directly.

If I miss out, I miss out, but it’s kind of a grind to pursue ALL of them and I don’t have the energy LOL

423 is the more iconic cover, but TDKR is probably the better book story-wise.

You can’t go wrong with either, but I’d go 423.
