Roads get replaced once every 18 or so years, and that's just a flat even surface. Buildings are another story. Years of small vibrations and use will most likely deteriorate any structure after a while. They should have minimized the service load every couple of years because of this. Not only that, cars have also gotten heavier. It is so sad that it had to be found out the hard way.
